One other thing i did for the quake style to work better was enabling the `Hide after opening` setting on the Window tab at the Profiles adjustments. This way the ctrl ~ works also on the desktop.

This won’t work on an Intel Mac as Homebrew installs in different locations for M1 and Intel. For an Intel Mac, substitute /usr/local/Homebrew for /opt/homebrew in the two commands you run after Homebrew is installed.

    - how to deal with your ego and still keep a professional appearance, when u at a point in your career where u feel u are better than the eveyone else, well better than those u interact interact daily.

You can't; other people aren't as dumb as you think, they will see through it. You're not as smart as you think you are. You might be better at some things than some people but there's always something to learn from other people. Even if it's just learning from their mistakes.

  • @jamesh4129

Awesome video. A quick before you start note to the viewers : Before you do this keep a copy of your .zshrc file likely located in your home folder. I had some path issues (through no fault of Utsav) and adding the lines from that file to the end of the updated .zshrc after it was all completed got me running again. Also, I believe OhMyZsh does this but there should be a .zshrc.pre-oh-my-zsh in the event you were too late.

Hello, great video. Are does ohmyzsh handle updating the plugins when ohmyzsh is updated or do you need the "update" plugin as well.
I avoided putting the plugins in plugins = () and went with adding it directly to .zshrc:
source $(brew --prefix)/share/zsh-autosuggestions/zsh-autosuggestions.zsh since I was not sure whether ohmyzsh handles updating the plugins cloned from source..
    Great video.

Make sure that it completely matches the font name in your font book, since it doesn't necessarily match the name in the description. This is almost exactly my setup, brew + iterm + zsh + oh-my-zsh + powerlevel10k. I will definitely go back and review the memory monitors and the Quake hotkeys. Couple comments: 1. OOTB on new Macs, git is at version 2.30.1, so not much need to install it from brew 2. If you brew install a nerd font (I like Fira Code), it'll make the glyphs nicer in powerlevel10k.

    • @wulymammoth

One little unknown thing that people who use Mac and Homebrew is the "brew bundle dump" command that generates a Brewfile capturing everything you've installed using Homebrew. You can save/back-up this file, then simply run "brew bundle" on a new machine after installing Homebrew and be ready to go, aside from loading up custom themes and fonts in a freshly installed iTerm2 and also generating new config files unless your configs have been also been backed up and symlinked.

    • @djbessel
