In this clip , he has celebrated Mohammed Aziz to the brim. There couldn't have been a better way to take all of us back in time to remind us of Mohammed Aziz who unfortunately is no more amongst us. I had the good fortune of meeting Mohammed Aziz in 1986-87 when I had gone to a studio in South Bombay to watch a recording of Basu Chakravarty's for a film that I can't recall. I still recall it was a duet that was recorded with Asha Bhosleji. Those memories are still fresh in my mind. Basu da's son Sanjay Chakravarty who plays the Cello even today in the industry, introduced me to Munna Aziz and it was such a pleasure meeting him....he was so soft spoken, unassuming, shy and that one meeting was enough for me to understand that he was a very good and clean hearted human being. Not a wonder he was able to deliver in front of the microphone with Ashaji standing next to him. Subsequently, I recall meeting Munna only once at Sai Nagar colony, on Yari road in Versova where he used to be residing. Life can be very unpredictable and cruel at times to some people who have especially made a mark and suddenly just disappear from the face of this Earth. Thanx to Sonu and this anchor for bringing this interview so close to all of us. Long live Munna Aziz and Thanx much to Sonu for doing justice to this singer who definitely deserved more than what he got in life.
