    Thanks again Rabbi Sacks for your great message. Hashem blessed is He, is a living G-d, and so close to all of us. Some people might not realize it, but if we try to reach Him and ask for forgiveness with a sincere heart He blessed is He, is always there for us. He is our true Father, Creator of us all. Shana tovah Rabbi, I appreciate your message given to us by our great King and G-d. B"H

    I wish ha shem hadn't taken Rabbi Sacks so soon, but we are so lucky to ever have had him. I like his topic of forgiveness. For him to get his mind around this whole age of blame. It is so sad, but we have an age where sadness, anger, shame, etc., are kicked to the curb.

      Dear Management,
      Good day.
      It is my pleasure and honor to send this letter to you.
      I would like to give you some pictures and hopefully you can provide me with some information.
      This manuscript dates back to the Ottoman period and is written in ancient Hebrew. I am looking for someone who translates the language and extracts a certificate from it. If possible, publish it in one of your opening articles and be part of your group.
      Thank you very much for the respect, appreciation and fruitful work of mankind.

      Examples of imitate in a Sentence (pulled from Merriam-Webster dictionary):
      "Her style has been imitated by many other writers. He's very good at imitating his father's voice. She can imitate the calls of many birds."
      Obviously, one cannot see birdsong, and yet with practice, one can imitate it. How much more can humans, who are made in the "Image and Likeness of God" imitate God in His loving kindness and mercy.

  • @Martin_Adams184
    @Martin_Adams184 5 років тому +1

    This sermon is so packed with wisdom and with moral courage! It is telling that such a high proportion of the numbers viewing have left comments.
    What gives it much of its power is its breadth of mind and imagination, allied to compassion, and its moral clarity. So it has humour ("his holiness Richard Dawkins"); and when it accuses it accuses not only behaviour, but the ideas (or perhaps a lack of ideas born of unrecognised nihilism) in which such behaviour is rooted. Thereby, Rabbi Sachs suggests that there's a way back (i.e. forgiveness), even for "the people without shame [... who] are the only people who survive in a world without shame."
    All I would add is this: one of the things that most disturbs me about this issue is the moral failure of those who stay silent when they are in a position to shout from the rooftops knowing they will be heard. They bend before the spirit of this age, with its lack of forgiveness, its peculiar combination of moral relativism and moral certainty based on self-righteousness. Politicians, institutional leaders, religious leaders - only a small minority seem to understand what's happening. They don't have the insight or the moral courage to look at anything greater than the court and noise of public opinion (not that the noise reflects what most people would prefer), nor to identify and name the evil. Their perspectives are on themselves and their own institutions. Where is the moral clarity that enabled the Psalmist to call out, "I call to you when my heart is faint. Lead me to the rock that is higher than I" (Psalm 61:2).

      I'm sorry but the 'chosen people' is a metaphor and everyone can be a member of the 'chosen people'. Salvation is not exclusive to a genetic group, my friend, but anyone who accepts God's forgiveness and is able to forge a way ahead, indeed not blaming others. this my friend, is Christ's own message. Romaticising the chosen people only corrupts thought.

    So true. The problem is that the "Unforgiving Age" is specific to England. The English use any weakness to attack. In New Zealand, where I was brought up, it is different.
    I remember I had Jewish friends who would use self deprecating humour. One was my boss. By doing that, he somehow made me feel at ease, that he was also a small fish - like me. Of course, we New Zealanders all have that sort of humour ourselves. We do not have a "born to rule" mentality like the English, where fellow human beings are treated as lower beings, to be jumped on if they show any weakness.

    • @Aenthel
      @Aenthel 4 роки тому +1

      I'm not sure if it is entirely fair to say all English are like that, usually just about any group of persons (which tends to revolve around ethnic social organisation) will at times take advantage of other groups that are not as well established or capable of maintaining their own rights or interests, unfortunately that is all too typical of human nature
      my experience with Islanders is that they are usually very friendly, I can say a lot of good things about them but there are also examples that are significantly less than perfect as well, human nature and by some association how different cultures develop underscores most of these issues, we can all work together and one day we will all be working together in kindness and good-will (Micah 6:8)

    For almost 2000 years the remains of the Tribe of Judah have suffered some of the most horrific persecutions. The Jews however, are returning to Israel after having been dispersed for many generations all around the world. Does that mean God has now forgiven the Tribe of Judah for what they did nearly 2000 years ago?

    But, here’s the situation, the world in this age, the overall spirit, of certain ones, that set the tone, seek to be ‘irrational’, they KNOW IT, are well aware of their irrationality, seeking to send a message, they now have found some voice and are prevailing. So, wisdom says, must guard yourself, they are irrational enemies. Not to give them attention, by commenting on EVERY LITTLE IRRATIONALITY. THAT IS WHAT THEY LOVE, SEEK, ‘ATTENTION OF THEIR IRRATIONALITY’, because they are not moral and enjoy every minute of attention. The objective should be to expose and comment on, confront their irrational behaviors, such as at Cambridge Trinity, I believe he said, and THEN, WAVE YOUR HAND AT THE ISSUE, HAVE A LOUD, GOOD PUBLIC CHUCKLE AND move on to the rational things in life, discarding them. One cannot give them too much of an audience, that is what they seek, ‘in their fight against Jacob, in these end times’. Don’t give it to them, that is wisdom. From: a believing christian, who follows Torah’, G_d bless, Amein. !

    PS: One more point comes to mind. Recently, listening to a man, Dereck Prince, very interesting life, on youtube, ‘how to find your place’, he has an international ministry, still in existence, the ministry, etc., and he commented on his plan, actually, think it might have been a teaching position, professor, at Cambridge, he states. When he gave it up, people did not think it wise he states on this video, however, he states, following G_d, YHWH, is always best, of course. Mentioning an interesting fact, that if he STAYED IN THAT POSITION, HE’D PROBABLY HAVE TO RETIRE AT 65 OR EARLIER, AND HAVE A LITTLE PENSION, ETC. I thought to myself, these well known top historical institutions, in the UK, are pretty stingy, that seems to be fact. They are (forgive...’big show offs’ re: their reputation, etc., of being a classy, elite place’), but generosity for years of service, may be lacking. It seems to be a trend, well known...? (In point blank words, d’t be so stingy, ‘put your $ where your bragging on your reputation is’) Correct? {Such an illusion, game}. Anyway, he stated this fact in this video.

    لَوْلَا يَنْهَاهُمُ الرَّبَّانِيُّونَ وَالْأَحْبَارُ عَن قَوْلِهِمُ الْإِثْمَ وَأَكْلِهِمُ السُّحْتَ ۚ لَبِئْسَ مَا كَانُوا يَصْنَعُونَ
    Why do not the rabbis and the religious learned men forbid them from uttering sinful words and from eating illegal things. Evil indeed is that which they have been performing. [Al-Maa'idah 5:62:63]

      That is actually a mistranslation. Go check it out on Bible hub. He says the best way. Really you Roman Catholic zealots western Protestants and Muslims included since your faith is derived from the same source Rome, Muslims are unaware of this but look at the mosques there's a Catholic Churches near by the major ones at least there's a reason for that, back on target, jESUS and the Golden Rule. Do you want people from other faiths going on to your sites and such trying to convert your sheep away from your faith and disparaging it? Fun Bible fact little realized by Christians, he was a murderer from the beginning quote from YOUR guy, he was referring to El Shaddi/YHVH murder of Rahab at the beginning of creation for refusing to part the waters. The devil or Satan didn't kill anyone in the beginning. Funny little fact. And the kicker you think that you worship the same thing but the right way. Given Christianity history I will say you certainly worship murderer. In fact your faith actually started because of a murder by Roman hands, your salvation comes from a murder of a Jew, and you want to kill Judaism by stealing their faithful. Think about that Christian, what does that make you? You certainly sound like a child of the devil to me. Oh yeah let's not forget about symbolic cannibalism, drinking the blood eating the flesh. Nope you are the devil's children, now leave these people in peace, and try to find G-d.

    The huge loss of his passing is strongly felt through this clip that expresses an assertive humility versus 'pseudo-moralistic stances of activists' (as Jordan Peterson puts it
    ). 'An accusing culture' would be befitting as the title. Tolerance for human weakness reserved merely for the more intentional offenders is a damaging pity for this culture which will hopefully evolve. 'How are the mighty fallen in the midst of the battle - we are distressed for thee, our brother Jonathan' (Samuel II, 1).

Not saying your better than anyone else , but i have an issue that isnt going away, no matter what i seem to do. You could say the reason is of biblical proportions ..... My life was a normal one nine years ago but something happened , i cant write the details here, auxilio divinio .. the south west is a beautiful place , many secret gems .... Please if ever your wondering this way please allow me to show you , we could speak about my problems then. And maybe some of the worlds also. From your brief message here today i can see your an ideal candidate to share my problem with !. The birds have there nests and the foxes have there dens but the son of man does not have anywhere to rest his head. James.
