@Soul-yx9if It is time to cover and make a cover from different states negligence issues related to medical.
Collective voices from different areas will have a change in the system itself,

@amitchandra8130 You think India's medical services are the best in the world.
Don't try to cover up for name and fame
They are blaming the good doctor.
Those who have no compassionate heart but are just finishing his job.
Then, they are lacking behind the willpower of a good attitude, which will vanish and consider all the patient like commodity.
This is democratic society and don't blame on the protestors but rather towards medical responsible nurse and doctor n then police as well.

in all cases where these type of medical negligence is accused on hospital and when the court says there is no medical negligence then the doctor and hospital must put case against channels and patient relatives and claim compensation for loss of reputation . Why is it only doctors have to pay for complication of medicine/procedure? All these type of unsubstantiated false (unproven in courts) accusations must be punished and must be set as an example by making them pay for the loss of reputation of doctors/hospital.

The Probe is investigating cases of medical negligence in India, which often go unreported. Countless families are losing their loved ones, with young lives being cut short due to incompetent and unqualified doctors. The medical system is failing, lacking both accountability and transparency. Instead of addressing these issues, the government has introduced laws that protect doctors from being questioned for their wrongdoing. This has made it nearly impossible to hold them accountable.
How tragic and unjust this is.

Any injection can cause an unexpected anaphylactic reaction. Where was the need for injection if she was accepting orally ?? Secondly why intravenous ? Reaction time is that much shorter.
Thirdly why was the hospital not prepared with its emergency kit if they were giving injections so frequently? They seemed not even to know how to handle the emergency. It was totally an avoidable death. True case of medical negligence if there ever was one

    • @DoctorJaneDoe
      @DoctorJaneDoe 9 днів тому

@ there is a standard protocol to patient management ( necessary care without causing harm to patient) a judge might interpret things differently from medical professionals.
      A) she did not require injectable as she was conscious and had walked to the hospital
      B) a better drug than what was given is easily available
      C) that better drug is avaiable in oral form
      D) there was enough time to see the effect of that oral drug as the patient was not seriously sick (see point A)
      E) before giving injectable no test dose was given
      F) the concern of the patient when she felt while getting injection was ignored
And most importantly, the hospital lacked the facilities to manage anaphylaxis adverse reaction.
Also need to see the doctors/nurses who managed the patient , were the qualified enough to give injection and were they trained in adverse drug management. Many hospital hire BAMS/ BHMS etc for less money who are trained to managed such emergency situation.
Did they even know basic ABC of patient management.? It takes practise to learn proper intubation and these people did not even use an ambu bag.
These are the points l have noted from the news report, actual case would be detailed and a good forensic/ a lawyer with medico legal expertise will be able to better help.
IMO the practise to give injectable drug was to extract more money from the patients as injectables are more expensive (needle, syringe, actual medicine, gloves, swabs) etc are all charged and patent admitted for treatment is also charged. Whereas a single paracetamol would cost less the. 5 Rs. l could be wrong but this is my perception of the case, greeed took the life of this young lady.
BTW these hospitals are managed by trusts or businessman who have nothing to do with medical care and only profit making, so they hire low calibre (degree holders ) who charge very less than an actual professional who has knowledge and experience with wisdom (as well as morals and integrity).
Regarding this case, the victim’s family should hire a very good forensic expert while keeping in mind the other side will also hire to disapprove of their claims.
I wish them all the best in getting Justice.

I think she did have an anaphylactic reaction ie. Allergic reaction to dynapar, in that case they are duty bound to provide emergency care and manage the patient to the best of their ability ,but most of these clinics or hospital to save money on staff cost they hire sub par resident doctors who are not adept at intubation or other emergency management they are only present to take orders from senior doctors . So in summary they can be fined and family receive compensation since emergency care was not given.

India has very high prevalence of tb and is started if the patient have clinical symptoms of the disease. Every drug has its unique sets of side effects and there is no way of knowing which patient will develop those particular side effects. However if any adverse reaction to a drug occurs that drug is stopped and an alternative treatment is given . But some of the side effects are irreversible and nothing can be done. But given these rare side effects in some people that drug can’t be banned as it is beneficial to thousands of other patients. Also in this case (video) it was an idiosyncratic reaction to the drug and they are often fatal and there is no way of knowing what will happen patient may have previously taken that drug and had no reaction but can suddenly go into anaphylaxis the next time. But again since the patient was in a hospital setting she could have been intubated and given epinephrine . It could have been life saving.

It was hypersensitivity (anaphylaxis ) reaction. Injection shouldn't be given wholly, as her brother mentioned he asked the nurse not to inject further. After that epinephrine could have been life saving. It was failure of the team as a whole. Proper history should have been taken before starting the drug. Even after starting, suspicion should be high if a patient complaints of itching.
This is the reason why we need better and serious health care system in India. But it is going in complete opposite direction. Nowadays even ayurvedic, BAMS etc are practicing allopathic like mbbs, md. Ab agr mochi ko jute ki jagah gardening krne kahoge to garden bhi vesa hi milega. And vice versa. Allopathic can't practice ayurveda or yunani etc..
And one more thing. Cheatings and back door entry in MBBS and zero percentile passing for md/ms exam. This has made easier to get degree without sufficient hard work, knowledge and practice. Bas pesa feko, degree le lo.
So if people can't come to stand with doctors on such issues, i fear we'll face more of this in coming years.

Appears to be an anaphylaxis to diclofenac injection. Can be instant and severe. Can happen with any medication. It's important to check allergies with the patient before prescribing anything. Also if there is anaphylaxis, it is a medical emergency with instant IV access, injection of antihistamines, adrenaline and if needed ventilation. All health centres should have a crash trolley ready and staff trained to deal with CPR and immediate cardiac arrest management. These are all system failures rather than an individual failure. The hospital should take responsibility, and made amends. There should be regular staff training on adult and paediatric life support, which is sadly so lacking in the Indian health care system, except from the large multi speciality hospitals with full fledged emergency system. These standalone health centres should be stopped from functioning. The department of health should think about revamping the entire health system. The medical staff appeared to be grossly inefficient, illiterate and unequipped to deal with medical emergencies. And also on top of it , there is no transparency, no communication, no apology and attempts at cover up of the inefficiency.

Absolutely the doctor should be criminally charged for all the actions that were done by him. He could have been honest about it, the family would have definitely understood. May be he was saving money by keeping all those inefficient staff or may be there are other discrepancies going on in the hospital.

It is better to fight with a disease at home with naturopathy than to visit a hospital these days. Chances of survival are more at home.
