It was very interesting watching you working on the ratchet to make the nut come off before seeing that warm oil coming out so fast all over . A real lady mechanic.
I usually put a magnetized oil drain plug in my engines if they don't come standard. I don't expect to see any metallic debris when I change the oil, but if I do I know there is a problem. Hopefully, I can catch a problem before there is catastrophic damage.
I'd like to thank you for giving such a good step-by-step guide. I've never really done this sort of thing on a car let alone a motorbike. The hardest thing for me was getting the sump plug out, it was super stuck and the other thing was getting the bike onto the centre stand as I've never done that. Once again, thanks.
not sure if one could get a K & N filter in the UK i use them on my bike. there is a not welded on the end of the filter, a 17mm socket breaks it loose post haste. great video. oh we use 20-50w here in USA.
Dana, love U and your Bikerstuff vlog. Love your good advices. I just have one question for you. How can I stop drooling when I watch your vlogs?? 🤩🤩😍😍🤣😂
On my old Norton I cant find any plug with magnet. So Im open the filter to se if theres any metal inside. I like to know how that old engine feel. its a kind of a dirty job so I had to be carefully but it works. Just a little tips from an old mecanic🇸🇪 Interesting to follow your videos👍 Never to old to learn.
I can't wait tell 2 more days to see her on Sunday show going to a fight tournament in the city tomorrow night. Then Sunday with my sons help I will be able to check out her sites
Excellent tutorial Dana. Have you considered using 3/8" drive sockets? They deliver finer control to your fingertips, and are less likely to 'graunch' nuts & bolts on your bike. I rarely use the 1/2" sockets, unless it's needed. Lovely smile, BTW!
Lol - dirty oil out of a rusty hole, you cracked me up!!! Joking aside, your videos are well made. Thanks. Excellent tip by the way (cardboard reflector).
If you strap down when it’s on the lift you should be ok and if it falls on the ground, they are quite easy to pick up, as the centre of gravity is low down and they are well balanced. Just use the proper technique and all will be well.
It's always good to see women as you're self do Biker's stuff(meaning)working on motorcycle all kinds of motor bikes you're Bright like a Star Hot like the sun & Beautiful like a full moon, GD job,👍😉....
@@bikerstuff2 I remember the movie Calendar Girls. They did not just buy a seat for the hospital they built an entire wing of the hospital. It was an impressive and humbling true story.
At 87,000miles it is clear the bike has been well used. I assume past owners have been content to leave it filthy or the factory finish is of poor quality at Triumph. With a bit of TLC it should never be looking in that state. A good point about painting the oil filter but I can't say mine has ever rusted like that on any of my bikes. A good video for anyone starting off with DIY maintenance.
Hi , I am back again, even pouring oil into a engine, It's not your first time for doing a oil change, Question ,, was your Dad a motor / Bike Mechanic ? where did you learn your skill's 👍. Keep up the good work, 😘 Just for you don't tell your Hubby, 🤣😂.
11:55 You are a left hand trained Person? I am astonished, that in GB a lot of all day things are just opposit to our normal way of use on the continent: the door of the garage in the background and of course, the traffic on the streets and on the railway tracks too. - This trained right hand use since childhood here in Germany caused a bad accident near Bundaberg in Australia: the son of a neighbour lost his life after the early morning start with a car to reach his backpacker-job on the cotton field their. Not in his mind in this moment on a country road: „Keep left!“

Always really good viewing 😀👍👏👏👏 and beautifully presented ❤️
Very nice to watch!
Ding ding ding, ringing your bell 🙂 enjoying watching you work and I can't believe how rusty that filter was.
It is scary. That's why using pattern parts can be a risk
@@bikerstuff2 How often do you change the oil in bikes, is it based on miles or time (months)?
Yes, it's based on miles, but if it's several years old, it won't do any harm charging it. It's not expensive
Great info on bike maintenance. I enjoy watching your how maintain you bikes.
Great job!

Very informative, no-one likes a leaky rusty hole, and leaving a load up inside ain't too bad as it always works it's way down....🤗
Learn lots. Love the view
A quick Internet search and I was pleasantly surprised....who'd of thunk it..
Great video and vest
I love this lady ❤️
Me ha gustado todo lo que he visto. Gracias
It's good to purchase a magnetic sump plug, preferably from new you will be surprised what's left on the tip.

I have a much smaller selection of 3/8 tools, but I do use them when I see it as the best option.
I'm pleased you like what I do
Nice bike an good video. Have a 73 triumph tiger
Yes I bet you have some great uncensored outtakes we would like to see
I really like these maintenance top tips. Yes. I said tips.

Thanks
Love the shirt
I couldn't zoom in close enough, but it looks like there's a fracture in the weld on the sump guard rear mount
The mounts are rubber and have since been replaced. Thanks for spotting it
As a lover and rider of Honda GoldWings, I love to see you working on one of them, a GL1800 for preference
It might fall on me, then what would I do

I did plan a 2023 calendar, but I ran out of time. Next year I will

Love to have a lady like you to change my oil and filter you amazing lady
wow , love it
I liked IT.
I fill the filter to around half, mostly to moisten dry filter material. At half, it doesn't leak when installing.
Don't bother, your engine has a pump to do it for you. If you're unsure, contact the dealer and ask their mechanics if they do it.
@@bikerstuff2 I'm a 40 year licensed Harley mechanic. I don't consult for an oil change. (although will consult for more complicated things)
For me at 4:37 was detail I like to see in an oil change.
OK I've changed my mind I'm now auditioning for the part of vest in yiur next vid....
a filter sucket? yesss
The pink overalls got me.... god damn.
I ride my Ducati so much that my filter always looks new when it comes off !!! 😀😀😀😀🏍🏍🏍🍺🍺
I wish you lived here and can show me how to change my oil on my Suzuki Burgman 650
Great video n good job. I'd enjoy working with you !!
Put a sleeve over the oil filter, made from a plastic pop bottle. Fix this in place with a jubilee clip.
What did you say?
Amazing
Dana dear, I need to change my oil, can you help me?
😘😘😘
Dana do you not use an engine cleaner ,STP ect ....
No. I have a parts cleaning tank with a basic degreaser in
Thousands of men wish to work together with this wonderful woman !
looks like it needed that oil change, and i always ware white thin T-shirts to change oil .
a woman mechanic I adore and also very pretty
I really need to work on my bike license!
Use light grease on the filter gasket, it is much better than oil.
Then why do the bike and filter manufacturers recommend clean engine oil?
Does the heat from muffler effect the filter ?
I think muffler translates to silencer. No that is at the back of the bike and the filter is near the front.
Dya think you could get rid of my load up for me please!
Watching your informative video really hard from here Down Under.
No wait that sounded wrong didn’t it.
Accurate, but wrong. 😘😄
What a cutie, and your personality is infectious.....
Good job, like using gloves. The days of going to restaurants with stained fingers is over.
Can’t watch these vids the same anymore ! Not after what I’ve seen Dana !
Tighten the oil filter with ratchet?
No, hand tight.
Used to have ar 80❤
Like your shirt
I picked it up in Barcelona a few years ago
Nice did you live there or just on vacation? Still like the look and just how open you are, just don't like the censorship that is imposed.
No, I was on holiday there
It's a good please to go on holiday and a great place to get an all over tan. We should know and some great places to eat and just have fun.
Love your videos, but to put a hose on the funnel that’s great never came to my mind.

If you are even thinking about painting a factory filter, you're dealing with the wrong factory.
Yes, it's patterns that need protection
