Own an '18 Nismo. 5.8L/100km or 40 MPG, just got us 3500km + across Canada, 800km per tank average and plenty of power to pass. No complaints or reliability issues what-so-ever. My only thing I could suggest is an all wheel drive version.
Wow I have a '17 Nismo manual and I'm averaging 9-10L/100km 😬. Granted, I drive like a maniac literally all the time
If it was all wheel drive it wouldn't be a fuel economy car..

There are two types of commentators here. The people who see "Sentra" and understand its a economy car with some extra flare. And then the people who see "Nismo" and expect a RB26DETT, 400 Horse Power and All-Wheel Drive but still have the Sentra price tag.

1:27 for 2019 the S, SV and SL get Eco Mode,
SR, SR turbo and NISMO get Sport Mode
Before 2019 you could get both modes no matter the trim, but now you only get 1
Ezra yea the sport mode is kinda pointless because it just makes the throttle open up a bit faster and that’s it
Eco mode does more then just the throttle,
it will put the transmission in a higher gear sooner when accelerating and keep it there longer when decelerating,
It lowers the climate control’s power a bit (you can feel it when you have the AC on, low temp and at max fan speed)
There is another thing I’m missing but i forget
Spending a lot of time driving these around my dealership’s lot I work at, I realize all these random things

I have a mazdaspeed 3 2010 and my wife got a sr turbo a year ago! The car is very fun to drive and the space inside and the big trunk! I can only wished she would’ve pick the nismo!! But its very clean! The bose premium system is so good! She loves it! And I do too!
Naah man. Go check out the '19 Mazda3 if you're even remotely interested in the Nismo Sentra. You get more power at the base level and a more fun drive in my opnion.

I own the Nismo Sentra and I strongly disagree. The car is still an economy car and All Wheel Drive adds weight which lowers MPG. My last car was a Subaru WRX and I can't say I miss the AWD.
I have the 2019 Nismo and I feel like it lacks power with the Nismo name. If they used the VC- Turbo KR20DDET 2.0 engine from the Altima line just for this car and add 2k to the price tag, I feel like it would live up to the Nismo name for a Sentra.

I had to watch this even though I have a 2015 nissan sentra. I though I found a good deal on Facebook and got it, AKA, my fist car. It needed work, but it's the base trim, and i just watched this video. So bro, I could have looked more and got a different trim with better features. Lol, I love the Nismo.
Excuse me, putting red accents on it, and a nismo badge does not make it aerodynamic. What constitues a "nismo" tune. Because from what i've seen and heard about it, is that it is only slightly better than the standard model. The suspension is only a little less abysmal. The handling is only slightly less then terrifying. And the speed is only slightly faster than a snail. What exactly did nismo tune?
Let me know what snail has 200hp stock.. this is a sedan not a racing car.. this car performs better than any sedan I know.

Just bought the 2019 Sentra S... I was going to get at least the SV but no manual option and no way in hell am i buying any car with a CVT, especially Nissan... their CVT's are the absolute worst in the industry. I bought it for a commuter to get to work and back with 100mile round trip freeway ride to work everyday... i have a fun weekend car so i don't care that its boring but I would only buy it if it was the manual and if you don't go with the SR Turbo or Nismo you lose the manual option and the price difference was just ridiculous for only 40 more HP... its an EconoBox car that i think too many people here in the comments are expecting too much out of it. its a freaking sentra... sentra has been garbage in performance since the SE-R model from what? 15 years ago? If you just need a comfortable daily driver thats actually really good on gas then its the car for you... if you plan on driving it hard and expecting performance? well, look at other brands IMO... im 6'3" 210lbs and have plenty of room while driving... the ONLY place that i think it lacks comfort for a tall person is the pedal box on the manual.. my size 14 shoes can't rest on the dead pedal so on long stretches i have to kick my feet back to where its flat on the floor putting my left knee up near the door handle.

Don't listen to the haters living in the past its a good car it has good handling but slightly lacks power I just got mine lightly tunned and it's a solid car I take to the canyons and still daily drive it, but if you do get one make sure it's a manual cvt's aren't nissans strong point

FluxCoreKing215 Just make sure to change the transmission fluid every 30-40,000 miles. Those transmissions are weak so you want to give it the best maintenance you can.

Sentra is badged as the Sylphy here in PH available in 1.6 and 1.8 variants. Watchout for the Almera N-Sport package..:)

@@corolla9545 i have a 1.2 2017 Almera.. not bad for a family daily driven. 22kms/liter, spacious, great AC, 80ish HP 1.2 3 cyl. Engine with a lot torque. Good thing with N Sport package it's identical to the Nismo Almera which is i think available only in Thailand since Almeras are assembled there for NMPI. Looks overall is better than the latest Vios. Just my opinion.:)

188h is alot for a 4 cylinder stock. If it was a 6 cylinder it would of had arround 230 hp.. this car is easy to tune up to 300hp easy. You most not know nothing about mechanic work.

Great car, other then the unnecessary infotainment and drive assistence stuff on the base trim level, this should be optional on every car not included from the get go, take that stuff out or give the option to remove it, give me a simple normal car like you used to and shave off a few k from the price, its annoying.

CVT problems aren't limited to Nissan, Toyota has their issues as well. Damn the gas mileage, go back to the traditional automatic transmission
