A dramatic finish ensured Guernsey finished 2023 in style as late goals from Ross Allen and Sam Murray wiped away the disappointment of conceding another later equaliser.
Not for the first time this season, the Green Lions had led late on only to be pegged back in the final five minutes and it looked like two more crucial points were slipping away.
But Tony Vance’s side this time reacted in the best possible way and had the three points sewn up within three minutes of conceding the equaliser, securing back-to-back wins for the first time this season and giving them breathing space from the dropzone.
