  • At the start of business every sitting day Monday to Thursday, the House of Lords quizzes government on any topic it is responsible for.
Members of the Lords refer to their question written on the day's business agenda (the order paper). Turn on subtitles or read the transcript (link below) to read the full question and see which member is speaking. Government ministers or spokespeople must answer members’ questions, and any member may take part.
On Thursday 11 July in #LordsQs:
    - Lord Clement-Jones asked government what assessment they have made of the imposition and operation of public spaces protection orders (0:00:01)
    - Baroness Gardner of Parkes asked government what assessment they have made of NHS dentistry services (0:07:43)
    - Lord West of Spithead asked government whether the number of frigates in commission available for operations would fall below 13 in any year before 2026 (0:14:57)
    - Lord Bates asked government what steps they are taking with international partners to de-escalate tensions in the Gulf of Oman (0:23:07)
