I agree with you on the edges of the stitchdown. White’s are way too flared out. It’s like 1”. Looks ridiculous and poor. Nicks is so much cleaner and tighter.
White's boots will measure your feet to ensure you have the best walking experience. I am not sure if Nick's boots offer the same service, but it is likely as Nick's boots come from White's. It is important to have a properly fitting pair of boots, especially since White's and Nick's boots are essentially the same and can be quite expensive. Thanks for your video.
Yes I did those years ago, this is maybe my 30th pair of Nicks, Whites, Franks, Wesco, Viberg. Getting the right size is certainly important but somehow even if they use the same lasts there are differences you can’t anticipate. Whites the original, like they say but I feel Franks and Nicks have added to the mix and like their style more.
I'm not sure how the stitching difference with the vamp over the upper will affect the performance long-term compared to the separate upper or however that is described of the regular boots, but so far the 55 is comfy to me.
Some other brands look like they have more giant toe areas, which I don't think looks as pleasant but then it kind of varies from boot to boot if my foot feels constricted in the toes.
From what I've gathered, Frank's has thicker leather overall, so I decided that I would not get them now and went with the Nick's instead. Frank's will surely have a roomier toe area, I imagine.
@@Highland_Paddy I think Frank and Nicks use the same lasts HNW and 55 last but somehow the fit can be different. I think Franks builds more the old style work boots and Nicks is leaning a bit more to fashion boots for a lot of there models.
I could help you but in Facebook or Reddit there are lots of groups that can help you out. What size are you brannock? Do you have normal, wide or thin feet?
@@willempasman827 I have a normal width, D, and thin feet I guess. I don't have Nicks yet. My Whites' bounty hunter is 9.5D because after getting their Foreman Lace-to-Toe 10D I felt it was big. The bounty hunter 9.5D is snug (not a problem) but I think I would have prefered 10D instead. My Trumans 79 last are all 10Ds, however I prefer 9.5D on their last 20. Viberg 310 is 9.5D as well. My iron ranger is 10D but if ever I buy another pair most probably it'll be 9.5D. My brannock size is 10.75 and Nike/Puma size is 11D, Converse 10D.
Yeah being in between 12 and 13 Most boot manufacturers do t offer 12.5 So got me thinking about trying custom boots The LTT boots looks sharp Wore slip on most of my life but with age feet started changing So went to lace ups And it’s been somewhat a challenge Thanks for you info and your experience
@@BruceWayne-sf2de so you could say you like a tight fit? You could take a 9.5 in Nicks, 55 last can be slightly bigger then an HNW(Northwestern) last. So maybe a 10 in HNW and 9.5 in 55 last. I also find the boots to be to big in the beginning but after a month the start to magically shrink and become the right size 😂
I have 2 pr of nicks and I am fine when I go down 1/2 size from what I measure on the bannock device. You can print out a measuring sheet and that works well.
Beautiful boots

Certainly when your a width EE/F the whites look ridiculously wide 🙉
@@willempasman827 even a D they look silly compared to Nicks, Wesco, Franks, and Viberg.
Very nice looking boots. I really like the way LTT boots look. What toe do they put in them? Is it soft or celastic?
It’s a celastic toe, the normal toe not the Truman. I don’t have a problem with the width more the height of the toe box.
@@willempasman827 thanks!

How long does custom boots take.
I prefer taller [8 or 10] but I wish they would put another lace out toward the toe.

Yes, I agree about that outsole issue, ESPECIALLY driving even in Thursday boots!!

I'm trying to gauge the size I should be ordering. What size are these?
Thanks
