Hello T in F.A.S.T nice playthrough, I get it, playing it on normal level to show the game. I loved the SE4 and this SE5 looks amazing. BUT Its a whole different game and lot more rewarding playing on authentic level. It gives you more combat (stealth or die) smarter AI with alot more awareness. You need a strat to reach goals, rushing it is death. Difficulty can be changed at any time from the pause menu, so there is no need to restart a mission. W love to se just one mission on highest diff. :)

@@__Mr.White__ Thanks! The invasion game mode actually let's you jump into someone else's game as one of the Germans and attempt to take out the enemy sniper!
The AI in this is a lot better than I first thought. Guards actively hunting you when you go loud.
yeah its no joke on auithentic, missions take 2+ hrs
i'm impressed with how natural the human animations are, especially in cinematics; while the speech/mouth movement is only a bit above average, all the character acting and gesturing is pretty notable. love it.

one of the best sniper elite's I have ever played in the series and I only finished the 1st mission this morning...it took me 98mins to finish according to the mission stats at the end....loved every second of it..can't wait to play mission 2 during the weekend.

Love this! These games are some of my favorites. The stealth is great and when all hell breaks loose when you are spotted is just as good! I hope to see you do a complete walkthrough of this game! I hope it has coop as well! Watching you try to keep jackfrags out of trouble would be great lol!

Hey @Tomographic, I'm new to your channel and love playing this game. There's a challenge on each level that i think you may find fun to try out. That is that somewhere on every map there are 3 stone eagle's that you have to destroy, the're usually up a height somewhere, so check at building rooftops etc. anyway great vid/stream, and please keep them coming.
Tomo we loved u playing ghost warrior contracts, so we are gonna love this too.
I would love to do some co/op once i can get the game, you up for it ?

Started watching after I discovered you from your Verdansk song (found that gem for my kid, who loves Ghost). Stayed for the killer shots and the voice.
The CEO of the company behind SE is Jason Kingsley. He moonlights as a UA-camr (Modern History TV) that focuses on medieval history/combat.
From playing SE4, there are a limited number of enemies on each map. If you're noisy then they'll run to you from other parts of the map so it looks like there are waves of them, but that's not the case. If this happens then the rest of the map is fairly easy as there wont be any enemies when you get there. Make sure to search all the bodies as some may be carrying documents that you need and they wont be in their original locations. :-)
That's what I love about this series, what got my attention to the series. How the enemies are, like if you see one on this part of the map then go to opposite end of map and come back he would still be there. Hate scripted AI games where they disappear/respawn and that when you leave a certain distance from them or linear games where you walk past certain point then releases AI enemies. So nothing has changed in 5 right? Im just catching up on 4 and trying to beat it so I can start playing 5 :)
I love this game. I have thrashed it and have all the upgrades for all my weapons. It is fun working out how you are going to get into strong houses that are heavily guarded and take out all the guards without getting hurt yourself. There is always a way of getting them to come to you and you pick them off one at a time. Find a place where you are well protected or hidden and there is only one way for your targets to get to you, then if you can sneak down and place a couple of mines along the path and sneak pack to your stronghold and start shooting.
Spoilers be damned! This is the content I was hoping for, seriously. Doesn't matter that I'm planning on playing through this game myself, I was actually hoping for even just one video on this game. Bummed I didn't get to enjoy the stream, but responsibilities got in the way but looking forward to watching the VOD in full.

at 57:16, you probably could blow the engine as a weak spot, but they're driving a Kubelwagen, so the engine is in the back.

Just for your situational awareness, chain link fences are a lot better at deflecting rounds IRL than you'd think. I can't remember what percentage of rounds I was told get deflected by fence links when fired through it, but it was north of 30 percent, easily.

I wouldn't say I'm "done" on twitch. I just don't stream as regularly these days because there is a big focus on UA-cam content for me at the moment and doing these streams on UA-cam for new releases usually does quite well for me. If Twitch goes ahead with their relaxed platform exclusivity deal for partners then you will likely see more streams over there as well. Thanks for supporting!

Character says in gruff voice “ I think I’ve grabbed all I can”. Tom in equally gruff voice “ yoink”
This guy doesn't use his mini map at all. It marks the location of all enemies near you before you've even spotted them. If you run/make noise within those circles they hear you. The triangles mark your last seen location. Enemies will walk (yellow) or run (Red, combat) to it and DE ESCALATE the wanted level when they don't find you at your last known location.
The magic of video games:
A letter knows where exactly a kill target is located at the exact time the assassin is finding it.
The main menu music reminds me of the film "platoon"

The red spinning triangle is the last position the enemy knew you were in. Means the don’t actively see you and in previous Sniper Elites I would try to move and ambush that spot.

Having played Sniper Ghost Warrior Contract 1 & 2, and Sniper Elite 3 & 4, I can say without a doubt that the Sniper Elite is by far the superior game. It had complex layers related to stealth, strategy, combat and plot that go far, far beyond Contracts. It’s not to say it’s not a good game, but Sniper Elite is the best sniping game out there, I’m excited to pick up 5 sometime soon.

Thanks for this I genuinely find Sniper Elite series not challenging enough to keep me interested, but I do enjoy watching streamers' playthroughs. The games always look great and full of old war movie cliché and stereotypes.

ok thats a fair take, but then what sniper game is more challenging than this? Like what do you play for your sniper fix if this is too "easy" for you? Also, if you turn all the "help" off, and make it authentic, its hard to believe that you would be "nailing" shots one after the other. Also, do you just dominate the pvp multiplayer so much that it bores you ? lol
Sniper Elite games are some of the most fun games out there!
Good to see good gameplay. I know you are timed but most playthroughs I've seen look more like the Omaha Beach landings. In SE4 I averaged 3 hours per mission. It sounds like the maps are larger.

After each bullet time event there should be a small cut-scene showing the dead solder's family receiving his death notice, Just to really let you savor the horrors of war.

The GHOST Master in my opinion is CenterStraind1. You should use the binoc. and focus more. The non-lethal rounds are as effective as reg. ones. Birds will give away your position..Rebellion deserves a lot credit for this work of art. Thanks Tomo. for your playthru.
man i really gotta play this series
Ive got ALL the DLC maps that have been released for the post-campaign and although it's extra expense, if you really enjoy the game then it is worth it. Ive enjoyed each and every map along with their DLC weapons and the simple fact is Sniper Elite 5 is one of my all-time fav games after Bad Company 2 multiplayer and before Sniper Contracts 2.
I can't wait for Sniper Elite 6 if it's anything like this!
I know this was recorded a year ago (this comment made 18/08/23) but each mission has a Long Shot Challenge and a Kill Challenge. On the mission Spy Academy for instance, you need to kill an officer by shooting a chandelier as he stands/passes under it. If executed properly this unlocks a weapon.
In this the first mission, the Kill Challenge is to blow up the Officer's Car carrying Steffen Beckendorf with a land mine, at the foot of a road heading towards the coastline - the road that passes the outskirts of the local German HQ.
The Long Shot Challenge is best achieved in a field below and to the side of the radar looking towards the pier. You might struggle to see the target from there so perhaps you might want to go within sight of the coastline and look to the pier to the farthest point away, or mark the end of the pier on the map and wave your rifle around slowly until it targets the patrolling soldier. Remember to use Match bullets to counteract bullet-drop, etc.
This is the "nobody lives to tell the tale" kind of stealth, just how we like it

This has just became free on my PS subscription and I'm playing the first part of Atlantic Wall, trying to stealth. It seems easy, but F me if they spot you it becomes difficult so quickly.

To get a suppersor for sniper rifle in mission 2 look for the work bench below castle.
The Master of Sniping returns to cover Sniper Elite 5.. cannot wait to see what Tommo thinks of this.
Having watched the first 2hrs so far, I’d say this is a masterclass in Tommo’s combat skills ala Battlefield, rather than much actual sniping lol. I do like that about Sniper Elite, you can play it your way, I’ve gone missions for an hour or more creeping around taking out people with the Welrod and hiding the bodies, before going loud into moments of combat like this. Would be good to see you try a more stealth and sniper approach than pure out and out combat too in the next one, just to show the different aspects of the gameplay.
Flip side.. I also have no idea how you’d get through half of that without suppressed options. Maybe lay a few teller mines to blow up the vehicles as they pass, Welrod in the head the survivors then lay low until things calm down. I’d be very interested to see how you’d fare with this approach on Authentic Plus mode without any of the enemy tracking or HUD enabled etc. It’s a great experience as it forces you to play much more stealth to survive as your top asset. But.. not sure how an Authentic Plus mission play through would go down on a stream, as it’s a much more subtle, low paced form of Sniper Elite.
My one criticism of the game, considering it has been 5yrs since Sniper Elite 4, is that it essentially looks nearly identical to the last game. It looks basically like a content update above all, which is a little disappointing. I was hoping to see some major graphical and gameplay updates, but really this looks like more of the same for the fans. I’ll still get it I’m sure, but it doesn’t look to me like it’s added anything meaningful to the gameplay.
Love the game and love the gameplay. I haven't played the previous games, but I am familiar with the franchise.

I love these games, played them all so far but I love to play very slow and stealthy, lots of long shots & trying not to get seen. I don't see many guys playing it slow tbf. Loving your videos & your Ghost warrior ones (currently playing the first).
The Sniper Elite series are really good games overall, maybe even slightly underrated🤓

Found the suppressor under the big house in the second map. So much easier and fun sniping without calling 400 enemies on your position.
In order to unlock attachments it is needed to unlock the workbenches.
@@MyReligionIs2DoGood yeah, I noticed this was the only workbench I didn’t have on this map. Got it and was surprised what attachment came with it.
Can you do a playlist of games you play the campaign, I just watched you play MW2 and enjoyed it This one was suggested but when I went to your YT page I didn't see any other full campaigns.

I remembered that you were prompted to search one guy you killed in particular. When you did, you found a Safe Key. That should've been used on the safe instead of the satchel charge, probably.

The kill cams were better in the other games. All they've done in SE5 is added more blood and it makes it less visceral as you don't get to see the damage caused as its covered by the blood.
