@L0V3LAUGHL1V3 He didnt come home, that was his spirit that was at the door and it was her spirit that opened the door. Well done...Made me think of my gf in the philipines, miss her, got my emotions going.
that was really amazing! I usually don't like these longer movies, but this one was an exception.. It was executed very nicely, I loved the story, the camera work, the lighting. The thing that I think sets apart this movie from the rest is that it feels complete. It delivers the emotions that were intended to be delivered. Absolutely brilliant! Oh, and i almost forgot, the music was dead on! I mean you couldn't have chosen anything better, imo.. Very well done!
wow! i dont usually enjoy these films that much. but, this was incredible! A movie or film has never made me teary eyed before and this film got me! My eyes watered up .. i felt so much for Tamara! This is incredible! i will prolly remember this film for a long time as the first film to make me cry. LOL
i dont know what was the most funniest part, the 1 when she was throwing rocks into the water and she was yelling, the part when the girls asked her to come out and then they was looking at her funny, or maybe it was just the part when she almost killed her self on the steps lol, this was well done and very deep.This was the best Film i seen you guys make so far and if it get any better i mite have to stop watching TV lol
I enjoyed the film. It was clear to me from beginning and end. So people didn't get the end and thought that it was a total cop out but the thing is that not everyone understands everything. I mean when you loose some one you love sometimes some people can get through the emotions and others can't. If you are lucky enough to have experienced this kind of pain then you are lucky. I am excited that the actress was able to show some real raw emotion. Keep up the good work
@PengunaFilms well would you care to explain why it says this on wikipedia: "Vancouver Film School (VFS) is a private entertainment arts school located in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada"?
really great subject... and really touching... it just tells u how soldiers and their families has to suffer just coz of the decision of rulers... its not fair, infact the rulers should be facing with such difficulty and pain, but they dont care... if only they were the ones who get to suffer, there wouldnt be any war
@duncanpunisher Canada IS in American ... North America, the continent. It's just that people usually associate an "American" with a person from the United States, when in fact that's not accurate. But your original question still stands -- curious why a Canadian school produced a film about the U.S. army. Perhaps this student is from the United States.
@lookleep When people in Canada say American, we're referring to people from the US, because it's the US of America. And yes Vancouver is a Canadian city, so I don't know what that guy was saying. If the people who made this were unaware Canada is in a war right now aswell. And good point maybe they are American, or maybe they felt people could relate better because the American war is more well known.
Very impressive short film - loved it all and felt quite emotional. As a pacifist not sure why anyone would put someone they love through this amount of fear......
Just think, without George Bush, Dick Cheney and Donald Rumsfeld... and now Obama this film would have little relevance and be abstract. Thank you U.S. Government for making such a timeless theme so topical! Powerful but depressing.
@FYouSeeK I mean he goes to war dies, so she kills herself. So, what's the point, it's not saying anything. Unless its simply trying to say war is bad. And I hate when suicide is the resolution to a film, just a cheap way out.
One of the best from VFS !!
beautiful, absolutely beautiful, actually made me cry. so good.
Wow, this brought a tear to my eye. So beautiful
This was so beautiful and sad I absolutely loved it.

I knew it! Arielle Tuliao is a Filipino! =]
Very impressive short film - loved it all and felt quite emotional. As a pacifist not sure why anyone would put someone they love through this amount of fear......
great! nice story
@duncanpunisher Yes, the writer is an American. Just to verify.
What camera did you use?
What was the message behind this film?
awesome
i don't really understand what happened why did she kill herself?
may someone explain thank you
Wow. beautiful work.
I would give you an A =)
inspired off of an occurrence at owl creek bridge?
@duncanpunisher Vancouver Film School is IN AMERICA!
@BenHughesStudios , maybe because she wants to feel physical pain instead of the horrible pain she feels inside?
very touching!
stupid wars ¬¬
stupid goverments
stupid violence
"Let's give peace a chance"
@noah2461 u 4 got about the good sound track lol, this was well done and make me want to make 1
Why did you make it American, when you live in Vancouver?
@BenHughesStudios
people have survived head shot before anythings possible, and if you do survive it becomes much more painful
More like melodramatic effect.
@Leadman1989
that's why you aim for the brain...anyway....
Damm this was to sad!
absolutely sad....
Man, that guy was a liar.
@ajtuliao oh, okay.
nice, but i'm 3d fan :P

@vegasfilms09 Well pursue your career and if you ever randomly end up in Florida and need an help send me a message.
Not my cup of tea, too melodramatic for my taste. But good cinematography and editing!
@FYouSeeK I mean he goes to war dies, so she kills herself. So, what's the point, it's not saying anything. Unless its simply trying to say war is bad. And I hate when suicide is the resolution to a film, just a cheap way out.
not bad. not good either though.
Nope...
pathetic ending. too much
