    Right now we just do most of our work in Massachusetts. Hopefully we will start to bring our clinics to other parts of the country at some point in the future.

  • @AntonelliBaseball
    @AntonelliBaseball  11 років тому +5

    Yes some of them need to keep working on their footwork. That's why they came to the clinic

  • @AntonelliBaseball

    Cool. If I end up having a day off or half of day I may be able to put something together for you guys. Keep spreading the word and if we can get enough guys I'll see if I can get a field.

    I teach to funnel to the middle of your body. All of my infield coaches teach us to funnel and I'd say most Major League infielders use this technique. If the ball is a short hop then you can work through the ball.

    The yips are tough...I've never experienced them before...I do know one way golfers will try to cure the yips is to completely change the mechanics of whatever they are doing. So if you have trouble throwing from short try throwing completely different than you normally do. Try to change your arm action, your arm angle, stuff like that and see what happens.

    I wish you were all able to come as well!

    I would love to. Maybe down the road we will get big enough and start to travel around the country. That would be awesome!

  • @AntonelliBaseball

    Maybe we will have to bring one of our clinics out there!

    Yeah most kids if they miss with their throw they are going to miss to the right because of the tail on the throw. He needs to aim just outside the 1st baseman's right shoulder. I also teach to stay low and continue to run through the ball as you throw on the run instead of trying to run towards 1st base. Hope this helps!

  • @AntonelliBaseball
    @AntonelliBaseball  11 років тому

    Well if you flip from SS you will cross over with your right foot to help you flip. From 2nd base you will cross over with your left foot.

    You ever come to Houston? We have hundreds of players that are always looking to ge better.

  • @AntonelliBaseball
    @AntonelliBaseball  11 років тому

    To improve your arm I think it comes down to two things. You need to be using the right mechanics and you need to throw a lot. Most of the guys I've seen with great arms are guys that were always throwing when they were younger. A lot of the Latin players I play with have amazing arms and all they talk about is how they were always throwing all day long every day as kids. If you want me to help you with your mechanics check out our online video lessons on our website. Good luck!

    sup man.. quick question.. i' m 28 and i play baseball. Right now i play in a mens rec league. i honestly do think i am good enough to play minor ball and eventually, hopefully make it to the bigs. I know my chances are very slim but to be able to say i was able to showcase my talent in front of some coaches/ scouts would be just as rewarding. Any tips on what steps i should take. i' ve looked into camps but they are a little on the expensive side. any tips? And you can be up front and straight. Thanks for your time..

      I would try to hit up an Independent League tryout. That is probably your best bet. MLB organizations also have tryouts, but typically you have to be invited. Good luck!! Thanks for watching and commenting!

    How do they get that "zip" on the ball...obviously they're holding a four-seam, but does applying pressure to a particular finger do that? or perhaps gripping it closer to the palm?

    • @VerySpecialAgentX
      @VerySpecialAgentX 8 років тому

      +ib3scope It's mainly wrist action

    • @bbarker5766
      @bbarker5766 8 років тому

      +VerySpecialAgentX It's proper throwing mechanics and footwork is key especially for infield players.
