  • Hard to believe, but it's already been one year since I started working as an apprentice aircraft mechanic. Today I'm sharing some thoughts and lessons from it.

I took the same rout as an aircraft mechanic apprentice at a part 135 operation. Got my A&P back in July! Just always have to be open to learning and accepting the fact that you dont know everything. Get that A&P!

Thanks man! 👍 For sure more content coming out, including interviews with other people putting in the work. I've worked on different industries over the past 20 years, definitely hands on work feels right at the end of the day. Forget office jobs! 😆

I was actually trying to get out of my corporate job before the LSRM class. I interviewed for an apprenticeship with my Sonex project under my belt but realizedi need something else to set me apart. I signed up for the class and then started knocking on the doors of repair shops and reaching out to other mechanics I knew. As a student, you should be able to intern with some repair shops part time. We have a student here.

@@manolotamayoramirez5161 I've done all sorts of things over the years. From retail, automotive, Motorsports, manufacturing, Lab testing and even delivery. One of the lab jobs I had was where I really got tired of desk work and wanted to get back to my roots working with my hands.
