SO FAR AHEAD of his time. Only Elvis can screw up as many times as that in a song and THEY LEAVE IT IN! Elvis was so fun and entertaining it's literally more fun to watch the interactions of a legendary true master of the stage in his element just HAVING FUN... clearly unrehearsed and raw. A once-off rarity. This clip proves Elvis would have been a natural in today's day and age of social media and youtube. He would really fit in today. The fact we could connect with him in 2022 is amazing. He was timeless...

Singers often run across a line in a song they just have a hard time remembering, and after awhile it becomes a mental thing. Elvis was known for carrying little reminder notes or strategically placing them somewhere on stage. (the seat of a stool on stage)

That's hilarious, and I love that you are smitten with him. This was just a random requests from the audience for one of his very early songs and neither he nor the band had practiced it in years. So he did it purely as a favor to the audience which is what he always did. So he just made the best of it and they had a really good time and he's just so damn funny that he can make it work.

The crowd was more nervous than he was, if anything he relax them ...he was real
He had not been on a stage in 7 years. This was a jam session with his band, televised for TV. This was unrehearsed. Likely, he had not sung this song in years. He knew thousands of songs He and his band were supposed tp act natural not rehearse it. So Elvis forgot temporarily..not on stzge for years, very important show to restart his career, a jam session and not a concert, very nervous because of the significance of this show.
Great reaction, and you're right, he carried off forgetting the lyrics with o much sun, charm, and humour that the audience didn't care a bit. No doubt because the audience were. like you, mostly chicks. and they were , again,like you, somewhat distrace dby his looks his smile, and his leather pants, LOL,
He improved massively as this concert went on, this was his first live performance to an audience for some years, He had wanted to re-connect with his fans live, on stage,instead of just churning out films.
He was. naturally, very nervous before going back onstage after years away;
thankfully the audience were,as I'm sure you would have been,very understanding and wanting to encourage him.
He had a sad ending ....His wife leaving him plus his mom dying ....drove him to take pills. He was sorry 😞 I remember..... l loved him though. I was 10 when he passed. Some how l could relate? Boy, boy. .. wished he could have held on
Cindy you look way to young to be able to go to his concerts.Was supposed to see him the day after he died in Hartford CT was waiting years to see him one because I was too young and his concerts sold out in minutes the tickets went on sale unless he did two or three shows they all sold out but you had a better chance then.I enjoy your reactions they are like Elvis was breathtaking.
