You know what I don’t understand is why everything comes with a microwave. Does anybody really like a microwave. I would much rather have a toaster oven so much better than a freaking microwave.
A toaster oven consumes 2x the wattage and 3x the amps of a microwave while requiring 3x the time to heat the same amount of food. It requires significantly better wiring to avoid being a fire hazard and much more battery capacity. It's easier to toast whatever you need over the stove.
I probably wouldn't buy one even if I were going to buy a camper, but for what it is, it is very good. I went the travel trailer route and it works for me. But if I were in the market for a quality but not too expensive unit, I would sure look at it seriously.

Travel-lite makes pure crap. My 770 leaked from day one and even though I kept it covered with a tarp, the corners all leaked. Three years later it is junk.
Nice unit! Can these things be used only on it’s jacks? Need to travel to a location for work then need to unload it so I can use sleeper and pickup separate. Is that doable? If so, it might be what I need to work far from home, I’m definitely NOT sleeping in my truck! But this looks comfy for just myself. 🤙🏽
It must have a roof AC unit cause it requires 30A service for shore power. Nothing other than an AC unit requires that kind of power. Everything else could use just a regular extension cord and a 15A circuit.
Our price is lower than everyone else. To keep the market competitive for all of the dealers the manufacturer won't allow us to advertise our price. (We're very close to the factory, so we have a very minimal transportation fee to get them to our dealership so we can sell them cheaper than most dealers)

David Dickerson No it won’t. Not enough payload in Tacoma. If you want something for Tacoma look into Capri camper or four wheel pop up camper. The latter is super expensive tho.
True and my shower unit was leaking because it’s built so poorly water was getting behind the shower pan creating black mold. It’s a defect that they still haven’t fixed yet
@@VOOODOOO37 i had to take my bunk window completely off the camper and scrap all the epoxy off with plastic razor blades . Garbage they would put between the seals. Luckly there is a million youtube videos nowadays so i fixed it and all there other seals with that butyl tape. Trimmed it and resealed with caulk. And used a real caulking like np1. not RV garb Id go over ever seam and open every compartment with these clowns

This is a nice slide in but if I had my choice I'd sacrifice the shower for a toilet. A toilet would be used allot more often than a shower. We had one built in 72 that fit an 8' bed and the toilet was actually in the shower. Which is the same size as the shower in your video from the looks of it. It was a bit cramped while taking a shower but it was fine. One of the weirder mods was a window mounted AC someone installed in the window in front of the stove. It didn't seem to effect aerodynamics though.
Nice! A lot of people are wanting to move away from flush toilets and black tanks. This camper leaves the choice of composting, camp toilet, or cassette toilet to the owner. I like it!
We have a older Six-Pac without a bathroom and we use a portable cassette toilet and it works great! So I love the idea of having a full shower and then just using a portable flush toilte
@@TruckandRV I owned one, its not only too heavy for a 1/2 ton, its top heavy, I had to install sway bars, which allowed me to navigate corners without white knuckling it. Travel Lite are wood construction, cheap wood too.
It really depends on how long you’re staying in one place. If you’re only staying for a few nights leave it in the truck. If you’re staying for a longer period of time and want to be able to easily drive your truck around take it off.
I believe an awning could be added. I have not been asked that before. I’ll have to check with Travel Lite to see if there is anywhere that I could secure it to.
Question for anyone here. I assume those legs go a lot higher? So you lift it up and back the truck under it, then lower it into truck? And I assume the truck has very strong ways to hold it down? I am asking because I think this is the way for me when I retire. A nice way to go camping for a few weeks at a time. Of course I would replace that shower with a toilet, Scrubzz no-rinse sponges and Care Touch wipes are all you need to stay clean, a shower is a huge waste of space. Especially since us old farts need to piss 8 times a day and three times of that is during the night
John, you are correct you raise it up higher and then back the truck under and lower it down. We use the Brophy tie down system for customers that purchase these from us. Hello, Big fan of your channel guys. I was thinking to buy a Class B and now I think perhaps a truck camper is a better choice for my Adventures since I want to get a four by four Truck. If you have a 1/2 ton 4 cylinder the only thing I see it changing is your ability to accelerate and load on the the engine at highway speed. A 1/2 ton is a 1/2 ton. You would definitely want to check your trucks payload though.
You should be able to order them from just about any RV center. They're not cheap though. The power jacks is about a $1500 option for this unit. The manual jacks are much less expensive.

It depends on the type of use you'll be doing, and for small truck campers without sliders it's not that unusual.

Yes, you can put it on a Ram 1500 4x4. I would recommend adding airbags to your rear suspension.
Is it possible to add stronger suspension on the ram 1500 or airbag would be enough?

If you get in to their extended stay series which is built for 3/4 ton and larger trucks you can get the bed turned the other direction.

In most trucks, no. The 7 foot 7 inches does not include the bumpers on the front of it or the sewer sticking out the back.
