As an old school Pycno main I would HIGHLY recommend using tail attack. Using balanced doesn’t grant you enough of a turn radius boost to stomach losing to every low tier/smaller Dino just tailing you. Without a tail attack things like Alios, Metris, Megs, and even Achillos will absolutely wreck you, out turning and maintaining speed, able to simply freely chew away at your hind quarters free of consequence. Especially since it seems you’re playing on a modded server, you’ll have even more to worry about with Kelenks, Sabers, Kapros, etc. Balanced tail only really works on very small or very fast dinos that don’t have to worry about the reality of tail riding, of which the Pycno is neither. Otherwise great video 👍🏾

Pycno also does reflect damage. So if it get pounced on the back slots the chicken immediately regrets it lol. The horn swipe also knocks off anything that jumps on the right shoulder. So when fighting the pyc as a chicken aim for the left shoulder lol. I'm a pyc main So I know.

Well dang. You know the reason for it to only work on the right side? If it’s only one side then it can’t be intentional design.

Pycno hit and run only really works if 7r the 9ne wanting to fight, if a mid teir like a dasp or allo (witch are most likely things to start a fight with a pycno) is chaseing u ur not gonna be able to get enough distance for a hit and run im not saying hit and run doesnt work it just has to be ur the one playing offensively for it tk be effective. And tail attack is needed cos things like concs and achillos and megs can tail ride u otherwise. And i would recommend srrong legs cos even tho its only a small difference that +15% bone break healing regularly saves me from being killed by a rex after being bone broke by them by healing it just before i die. Also low-low teirs like raptors are not a threat in a pack as ive won in a 5v1 against latens as pycno and the charge can 1 shot laten. Jusg if its like a pack of 3 achis or creas u have to worry
