Also, all 4 of his abilities could've helped him with the last situation, teleport behind the gunner, stun the gunner, or create a protective ball of energy and lash it back out to kill them all.
@@ewg5511 I have a possible explanation. Before that cutscene, the Stalker (Sorren) had to fight his way to the landing zone outside his lair. He likely tired out and/or ran out of energy. Ever run out of energy in a mission and have to rely on your best weapon? This is sorta how it feels like. Understand that Stalker IS the warframe and not transferenced in. Similar to Umbra, but he can speak coherently. Knowing this, what happens when their HP drains? Umbra stops moving and waits for the operator. Stalker flees. Neither die here, but I think they get too wounded and/or tired to continue. Something I noticed in this video I didn't notice in my playthrough is you can hear Stalker's pained grunts. This leads me to believe he has limits. Obviously, his limits exceed regular humans like you and I. Notice how he walks after the corpus stop firing. It could be due to his wounds but I think he is also tired. Not to mention he is grieving. I think you bring up a valid point, I'm just trying to see if there may be a reason why he didn't use his abilities in that critical moment. I will say that smokescreen is off limits. He has both his hands full and a turret about to shoot him. It was quicker to use his weapon rather than drop it to toss a smoke bomb, which still opens him and the baby up to still being shot.

Queen would want to highjack the body with transference. Tyl Regor would get really excited, as his whole thing is trying to reverse the gene degradation. No way I'd believe that Corpus wouldn't want to hurt the baby, their debt-sharks literally dismember living people, INCLUDING CHILDREN. Lore-wise most Corpus would want to capture/buy the baby and use it as a status symbol to climb the corporate ladder.

If they didn't let him go, and god forbid they did touch that child, stalker would've become their own personal little nightmare to deal with. Considering we saw a "powered up" version of stalker at that, he could've shredded that crew, but I think DE wanted to highlight stalker using his blade to protect with purpose rather than mindlessly kill for revenge once.

Theory is since jade and Sorren were originally human, she might’ve been in her first trimester when she turned into a warframe and she transformed into a carrier warframe because she has 2 life forms and it took a while but the dna of her old self combined with the dna of what her warframe is both embedded into the child to become the first humanoid warframe that it’s own host. In other words, that warframe might be the catalyst of new form of species that acts independently without a host. Damn warframe really did a major event in what seemed to be a small dlc.

It was originally a dax warrior that was exposed to infestation and tortured during the sacrifice. This was a genuine life form that was given birth which hasn’t happened in a long time in the universe. My memory of warframe is fuzzy but hosts of war frames are usually people brought back to life.

I just played this quest today, and I feel so bad for Stalker. In another way Jade makes me think of my mother who I lost not long ago, she'd swear she would sacrifice herself so me and my siblings could live just as Jade did for Sirius/Orion

Very awesome quest, loved how the Corpus Officer ordered her men to back off once she heard the cry of a child. Also love the 3 million dad damage buff Stalker gets when he is holding his child.
To those asking if Warframes can get pregnant, objectively no. But the reason why Jade was pregnant, was due to the fact that when she was transformed into the Warframe we know, she was carrying. The fetus also gained characteristics of the Helminth Strain, hence the baby continued to grow for years, until the quest we played out. Also, Warframes are implied to have little sentience. When you equip Warframes, they have their own agile and noble animations which throw light into what kind of people they were before they became Warframes. You can learn more of Jade’s lore, if you go to Teshin in any relay, beside him there’s a tribute of sorts. It explains that she was fully sentient throughout and she interacted with her operator too. Really humane stuff.

Thank god. Another sane person. By the time you got to the part where Stalker is having his showdown with the corpus while trying to escape, I was able to predict the entire scene playing out. The story itself is not the problem it’s the execution. It’s. Just. Cringe. Could have worked better if not for all the tropes and cliches that were jam packed into the story.
@@backpack29 Same here, they're just way too obviously trying to push for emotions and it's always ends up feeling out of place, especially with warframes being widely feared warcrime dispensers, they need to introduce powerless side characters if that's what they want to achieve. Stalker literally could've just used invisibility to avoid the whole thing. I had hoped that maybe at least our MC would save them, seeing as our whole participation in this quest felt forced and without purpose. But since we were warned about themes of motherhood before starting the quest, I was already expecting there will be some "motherly instinct" bs right from the beggining, and especially after seeing how all the antagonists were female and that Jade already perished. Hell, another glaring plot hole is that Corpus immediatly knew why Stalker was going to such places, yet all-knowing Hunhow couldn't give the same advice as MC did??? The New War and Whispers in the walls were a similar letdown. They need to hire a competent writer or at least re-read the script several times.

I was cringing heavily playing through this quest, due to remembering how DE were just laughing at the idea of pregnant warframes coming from perverts on the internet a few devstreams ago, and now seeing that it totally planted an idea into Reb's head.
Thank god. Another sane person. By the time you got to the part where Stalker is having his showdown with the corpus while trying to escape, I was able to predict the entire scene playing out.
The story itself is not the problem it’s the execution. It’s. Just. Cringe. Could have worked better if not for all the tropes and cliches that were jam packed into the story.
@@backpack29 Same here, they're just way too obviously trying to push for emotions and it's always ends up feeling out of place, especially with warframes being widely feared warcrime dispensers, they need to introduce powerless side characters if that's what they want to achieve.
Stalker literally could've just used invisibility to avoid the whole thing.
I had hoped that maybe at least our MC would save them, seeing as our whole participation in this quest felt forced and without purpose.
But since we were warned about themes of motherhood before starting the quest, I was already expecting there will be some "motherly instinct" bs right from the beggining, and especially after seeing how all the antagonists were female and that Jade already perished.
Hell, another glaring plot hole is that Corpus immediatly knew why Stalker was going to such places, yet all-knowing Hunhow couldn't give the same advice as MC did???
The New War and Whispers in the walls were a similar letdown. They need to hire a competent writer or at least re-read the script several times.

I was expecting our Tenno to step in near the end or, since the corpus are known for being ruthless self interested sons of bitches, that random corpus Chick who was hunting stalker was going to get him to drop his guard then turn on him or SOMETHING but nope. It was cliches till the end I guess.
Theses newer quest stories are nothing in quality compared to ones like Second Dream, War Within, or The Sacrifice
