Ordered one of these for my wife. I hope it's good. So far my experience with this company has been a nightmare as they took forever to process and ship. I can only imagine how long I'd have to wait for them to send a replacement part
Yeah I recommend ordering through a commercial affiliate like myself. This will allow for quicker response times. Hope you love your new e-bike, its a great bike.
I think 2 of them would fold up really nicely in a rav 4. I can put 3 in my Subaru no problem. If you do end up ordering them, please use my affilate link in the description below!
I like the handlebars on the Rad Expand 5 better than the straight ones on the RadMini. I didn't like the LED display though, and recently bought and installed the LCD Display Upgrade. I also got folding pedals for it, because why not make it as compact as possible?
I've been eyeing this bike. I'm 5'1" and I'm rather disappointed that RadPower really didn't consider shorter riders for their RadRover Plus bikes as other eBike companies have done. I want to stay with Rad Power Bikes since they are local to me in WA State, but this is really the only option for me that doesn't look like a kid's bike. I'm not really a fan of their cargo eBikes. I really wanted a RadRover Plus bike, but when I viewed it in their showroom it's just way too big for me. I considered going with Aventon for this very reason. But the RadExpand 5 is a happy medium as it doesn't look like a kid's bike, I can comfortably ride it, and I can put it in my vehicle without having to deal with a bike rack for those times I want to go for a ride, but my husband does not.
For what you described the rad expand 5 sounds like a great option for you. I’ve had a lot of riders at 5 foot fit perfect on this ebike! Let me know if you have any more questions about it or want me discount code for order.
We bought the RadExpand 5 in black to match my husband's RadRover 6 Plus. I should have waited a few more months because now it comes with blinkers installed, but we got ours during an EOY sale. Even my RadExpand 5 is still a big bike for me. I have a hard time getting up quickly back on my seat when in traffic at an intersection (my seat is as far down as it will go). I also don't like having to remove my hands from the handle bars to convey to traffic that I'm turning. I've broken down and bought blinkers that will go on the back of my helmet, but I haven't put them on yet. We just got back from vacation in Grand Teton and Yellowstone and riding in the Palouse region of WA State near Pullman, WA. I much preferred riding on bike paths and the backroad of the Palouse to riding on busy and heavily trafficked roads. Our next "big" trip is riding the Hiawatha Trail in Idaho.

Great review! I love how detailed but concise it is👏🏼
Waiting for mine to be delivered! So excited!
This was helpful! Neat how easy it is to fold. Thanks for sharing!
Yes it’s so convenient. Do you have an e-bike?
Hello good review. appreciate the pros n cons. Looking to purchase here in Canada. Do you have a discount code for Canadian purchase?
Yes I do! Email me ( Lmorse98@hotmail.com) and I can give you my affiliate link and discount code.
@@lukesoutdooradventure do those still even work?
My wife and I both got the rad rover 5 and are debating on getting two of these for trips in our rav4

@@lukesoutdooradventure yeah hopefully i can sell these two first. A lot of people are afraid of them because there look very powerful
@@jaysonW7 I like the rover 5 but transportation is tough. That’s why I prefer the rad expands

Yeah those are some great upgrades!
We rode Radrunner 2's while in Zion a few days ago and loved them! How does the RadExpand 5 compare? Does it have a similar feel to ride?
Yes very similar. Rad expand is slightly smaller but has the foldable feature which is great.

I'm 5'1" and I have RADEXPAND 5, white.

You can buy portable blinkers. Some fit on a helmet.🎉❤😊
I just bought one of these. Should I be able to roll it when it is folded? My rear wheel seems locked.
You cant roll it when the bike is folded up
I was able to roll mine on certain angles
Stupid that they got rid of full frame radmini because that serves taller riders better
Yeah I really like the mini. I’m disappointed they don’t still carry it. I speculate low profit margins
