  • Written in the 19th century by Scottish poet Henry Francis Lyte, ‘Abide with me’ was said to be Mahatma Gandhi’s favourite Christian hymn. It has been a part of the Beating Retreat (29th January) ceremony since 1950 until last year when it was dropped.
    Sangati - an interfaith musical concert held on January 30th , 2020 (Martyr’s Day) at Central Park, Jaipur.
    Sangati pays tribute to the life and teachings of Mahatma Gandhi on the day he was killed for his unwavering commitment to a secular India and a belief that real faith did not discriminate between religions. The principles that underlined both the preamble and the Indian Constitution. Sangati was launched in 2020, which saw coming together of various great artists such as Shri TM Krishna from Chennai, Shri Prahlad Tipanya from MP, Chaar Yaar and Dr. Madangopal from Delhi, Anwar Khan Manganiar and Asin Khan Langa from Rajasthan and many others. The audience got a chance to listen to Qawaalis, Church choir music, classical, folk, Gurbani and sufi music on one platform.
