Tough? The boat went over in the inlet with one wave. A good diesel powered "downeaster" would have just shrugged it off and got them back to the dock!
The real question is why would you want to fish for Bonita so bad that you put yourself in that much danger. They are trash fish and are only used for bait.
@@4040mwilson That was my only complaint with my 2004 21' OS but I learned to place 2 or 3 Dive tanks across the front and just trim all the way down and WOW what an incredible smooth and dry ride. You'll think your in a 40' hull. I love mine. I have back injuries & not so able any longer
@@lbbradley55 I would never buy another Cape Horn after that experience. My 20ft aluminum rode better. If I have to add weight to the front of a boat to make it not ride like a total turd I’ll pass. I can’t explain how awful that boat was. I grew up fishing the Great Lakes in all kind of old boats. All better than that thing lol. Glad your happy with your boat!
@@4040mwilson Ha... Cape Horn here in the northern Gulf of Mexico is a very well desired boat. But that's why they make many different makes. Have a better day. :)
Craziest part is someone would still pay 10 to 15k for that boat as a restoration project
I can't believe they were not wearing their life jackets.
it it's such a great boat why did it go down in the first place?
Regulator makes an awesome boat, but that doesn’t mean much without common sense.
Bad seamanship then, you don't go out when waves are breaking higher than your top..
I would never allow it.

So it float around for a year. Typical boat filled with foam. Nothing special
Why would you go fishing for Bonita? Other than good bloody bait they don't have much value
Atlantic bonito are tasty. www.thefisherman.com/jersey-shore-surf-bonito/
