My favorite part about this is that I used to watch Ryan's guitar covers years ago when he was younger and now he's all professional and shit. That's insane talent to me.
Okay, now that I have some time, I feel like I need to offer my full thoughts on this EP. I don't say this lightly: This is one of the best EPs I've ever heard in my life. I spend a lot of time finding and collecting top quality music, and this release has shot up into my top 5 favorites of all time. I literally cannot stop listening to it throughout my day. I'm finding it difficult to put into words the immensity of this. I'm a fan of a lot of different modern metal subgenres, my favorites being progressive/melodic metalcore, progressive deathcore, melodic hardcore, post-hardcore, etc. I feel like this EP seamlessy combines the best qualities of all these genres into a multi-faceted behemoth of a sound. From start to finish, there's never a dull moment. I know it may sound cheesy, but I honestly find myself getting choked up over how absolutely BEAUTIFUL some of the arrangements are. The flowing guitar melodies and powerful cleans, the emotional screams and complex, energetic rhythms....everything fits together perfectly and forms the most tastefully written EP I've heard in YEARS. I could write a novel about how amazing this EP is, but I feel like I can never put into words exactly how powerful an effect it has on me. People, buy this fucking EP. $5 AUD is and absolute STEAL for this precious gem. If you can afford to purchase it for more, and you're even a fraction as passionate about this kind of music as I am, please do it. Support the artist. This band absolutely needs to make it. We can't afford to lose them due to a lack of financial support for their art. This is a complete game changer. To Polaris: I've never met you, but I appreciate you more than you'll ever know. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for this. Thank you for putting your ALL into this, for baring the deepest parts of your souls for the world to hear. I know I probably sound cliche but I really can't help it, this EP has had a profound effect on me that I can't really put into words. I know you'll make it big, and I can't wait until you come on a U.S. tour. P.S. -- Check out their previous EP "Dichotomy" and buy that shit too. It does NOT disappoint.
You feel like you need to offer your full thoughts...lol. yes, we were all anxiously awaiting your substantial and informative dissertation. Said no one.
0:00 - Regress 3:28 - L'Appel Du Vide 6:45 - Unfamiliar 10:48 - Voiceless 14:45 - No Rest 19:02 - Hold You Under (feat Marcus Bridge of Northlane) Epic EP!
One of the sickest eps that ever came out. Polaris follows the pedigree of aussie metalcore. Proud to say I saw them on their first tour in America with Parkway. I listened to them a little before I saw them and they caught my attention live. When I saw them the second time and they played crooked path I almost cried. Polaris you gotta fan in me forever dudes seriously
Honestly one of the best metal vocalists I've ever heard, same for the guitarists / bassist and drummer. This entire band is a heap of pure fucking talent.
One of the best E.P's i've had the pleasure of listening to. Absolutely amazing work guys. Keep up the great work and look forward to the day you guys are able to tour in the UK.
With OMAM, AA, BMTH, WCAR, ISS and CTE going down the drain, I don't take what I'm about to say, but I think this may be my new favorite band and it may also be the best release I've heard in the last few years. Perfection. These guys are going far.
The Devil Wears Prada are actually coming back strong surprisingly. Their two new singles are absolutely amazing. But yeah, "popular" bands are going downhill.
AmericaWest90 HOLY S HIT YOU'RE SO RIGHT, idk I wouldn't say Scott amity, crown the empire, we came as Romans are bad now I just don't listen to their new shit anymore
Setting the bar for best ep of 2016, Sorta discouraged to release our ep now ha. I've listened to this album about 100 times already. No joke. And it's not even the 29th in California yet haha
HOLY SHIT! This EP is straight magical. Im getting a mixture of vibes from all my favorite bands. Well fucking done Polaris. You have yourself a new fan
This has to be one of my favorite records of this year. The instrumentals and songwriting are brilliant but most importantly it makes you feel :) great job!!!
this is soo damn good, devastated i missed you guys on the northlane tour. i'd love to see you guys live, if you could on the next tour set up a all ages date in newcastle that'd be bloody tops. keep up the good work lads
Vos musiques sont vraiment motivante, découvert en début d'année je regrette absolument pas d'être tombée sur vous, bonne chance pour tous ce qui suit, let's go the brother's
I found their new album to be well-produced, but overall none of the songs really stood out from each other. It's a good album, but it's just something to play through only to hear their sound rather than the songs themselves. That's just what I feel though, since I listen to nothing but this and similar subgenres haha. To each their own though, I can respect that.
I think if you take in the context of the album (i.e., in many songs the guitarist foreshadows his own death) it comes to life. The lyrics are downright genius. I also found it to be incredibly diverse such that it was in your face, but also melancholic.
Mo's got it. All Our Gods was truly the best album of the past year and the fact that it is in major part about Tom's inevitable death makes it all the more emotional to listen to.
Love this shit. For the last song, I can hear Marcus Bridge scream a couple lines after the first chorus, but the cleans don't sound like him. So does he only scream 2 lines in the 2nd verse and that's it? Was expecting some clean vocals.
+Hansol always enjoy stumbling across your comments on metalcore videos throughout UA-cam, especially Australia's quality talent. Hope the channel reboot goes well mate, enjoying the content so far, big fan!
It sounds great dudes! The drums, guitars, synths and vocals are killing it! It's not super heavy but it has some heavier parts which i really love. You guys doing great shit so keep going
My favorite part about this is that I used to watch Ryan's guitar covers years ago when he was younger and now he's all professional and shit. That's insane talent to me.

Couldnt have said it better 🤘🏼
I hope this dude purchased The Mortal Coil.
Easily the album I have played on repeat the most over the last few years.
I'd only place House vs Hurricane EP in this same category
Preach it my dude!
You feel like you need to offer your full thoughts...lol. yes, we were all anxiously awaiting your substantial and informative dissertation. Said no one.

Smashing polaris all week, rest in peace you wonderful man ❤
The boys don't even know how timeless most of their tracks are. Absolute belters left right and centre
this is something i can easily get emotionally attached to.
No Rest is my top song of 2016. Just brilliant.
Its easily a top 5 song for me now by them
One of the sickest eps that ever came out. Polaris follows the pedigree of aussie metalcore. Proud to say I saw them on their first tour in America with Parkway. Honestly one of the best metal vocalists I've ever heard, same for the guitarists / bassist and drummer. This entire band is a heap of pure fucking talent.
The vocals remind me of Architects and I like very very much!!!!
One of the best E.P's i've had the pleasure of listening to. Absolutely amazing work guys. Keep up the great work and look forward to the day you guys are able to tour in the UK.
I accidentally clicked on this listening to The Novelists souvenirs album, and I must say I am impressed with this album keep up the good work guys

"No Rest", what an epic piece of art, seriously! I'm listening to this for days now! Of course the whole album is just beautiful! Awesome work!
+Jan Böhme (VGNX DRUMS) Fuck man i know, easily my favourite song of the EP. the whole record is a masterpiece
12:49-13:58 gives me chills every time
Best metal EP ever heard hands down...and I thought zombie EP could never be topped...
With OMAM, AA, BMTH, WCAR, ISS and CTE going down the drain, I don't take what I'm about to say, but I think this may be my new favorite band and it may also be the best release I've heard in the last few years. Perfection. These guys are going far.
its the new generation :D

Tdwp is in its own league
Tdwp is in its own league
This band.... So different..... Melodic as well..... "Simplicity is the key to brilliance." I love it....
One of the best releases of 2016. Eargasmic from the beginning to the end. It's rare that I listen to Eps without even skipping a single track.
Setting the bar for best ep of 2016,
Sorta discouraged to release our ep now ha.
I've listened to this album about 100 times already. No joke.
And it's not even the 29th in California yet haha
You guys should have dropped yours first then. Haha
+Mark LePage unfortunately that was out of our hands, and still is atm
+Petroglyphs if your new EP is as dope as "Hypocrite," you can bet it'll be super well-received. I'm really looking forward to it.
+Petroglyphs Just drop right now
+Westgate You guys too though.
How the chorus comes in is fucking brilliant, absolutely killing it dudes xxxxxxxx

@@louisfroidevaux5012 Until The Death of Me
Saw them at Gramercy in NY a few weeks back. The set list was epic .. just a terrific show.
Ryan and the gang are something else. This is amazing.
best 23,30 minutes of my life ever spent.
Awesome work guys, would be sick to see you guys in the UK finally!
Amazing combination between Periphery and Architects.
I just found out about Polaris & they became instantly my favourite band! Awesome EP, keep it up!
this is soo damn good, devastated i missed you guys on the northlane tour. i'd love to see you guys live, if you could on the next tour set up a all ages date in newcastle that'd be bloody tops. keep up the good work lads
When i first heard 'Wherever I May Walk" I was like: it doesnt get better than this.
... then I bought this EP! It absolutely blew me away!
THE VOCALS ARE SO CATCHY AHHH
really cool EP, Australia definitely knows what they do best. And is that Grant McFarland that was in this or the apocalypse?
Yes, it's that Grant.
+kyle spejewski The very same!
+Mark LePage Grant McFarland is talent.
I Killed The Prom Queen

This is LIT! especially Voiceless
Vos musiques sont vraiment motivante, découvert en début d'année je regrette absolument pas d'être tombée sur vous, bonne chance pour tous ce qui suit, let's go the brother's
Best piece of music I've ever heard!
This is literally everything I wished the new architects album was but wasn't. Possibly even better than what they could do. Well done
I have to agree with that
I respectfully disagree with this. This is great, but not better than All Our Gods.. that album is flawless
I found their new album to be well-produced, but overall none of the songs really stood out from each other. Fkn love these guys!
This is so good. Can't help but listening to this on repeat!
Best EP I've heard in quite a long time!
i remember when this first came out and i found it on some instagram metalcore page 2 years ago. crazy to see how big they got
So cool meeting you guys, so real and down to earth. Awesome music as well! Maybe a collab in the future when me and the boys get some stuff down haha
LIT.

Love this shit. For the last song, I can hear Marcus Bridge scream a couple lines after the first chorus, but the cleans don't sound like him. So does he only scream 2 lines in the 2nd verse and that's it? Was expecting some clean vocals.
The cleans after the first chorus are him (just before you heard him scream)
+Mike Litoris Oh yeah! I think you're right! It sounded so similar to the actual clean vocalist of Polaris so it was hard to point out. Thanks.
+Hansol always enjoy stumbling across your comments on metalcore videos throughout UA-cam, especially Australia's quality talent. Hope the channel reboot goes well mate, enjoying the content so far, big fan!
Thanks so much dude. :) It's a great journey and I have lots planned. Keep it metal.
+Hansol wooooo so rad that you like Polaris
Holy shit! This is fucking awesome
I like the part from 00:00 - 23:30
Polaris speaks the fucking truth for some people about what happens to them in their life and dealing with fucking bullshit
It sounds great dudes! The drums, guitars, synths and vocals are killing it! It's not super heavy but it has some heavier parts which i really love. You guys doing great shit so keep going
Holy shit this is amazing! New fan 🤘🏼😁
The whole EP is nicely diverse and just overall pure quality. Fresh af. BTW - is the EP getting upped on Spotify today/tomorrow?
+Dwėsk It's up on spotify now :)
***** thanks for the heads up, fam :)
It's so rare these days finding bands with EPs that make you realize the beauty of this genre you know. They truly are extremely talented.
