Does solar storm activity mess with the pigeons ability to orient

The video is panning from the south to the north, north sky for me has a pink tint, looking through the camera you can see what I think is the solar storm. Club shipped an old bird race tonight. We will see what happens.

Well he had a crazy fast race from Winnemucca, it has not seemed to affect the first birds

The local guys flew a 350 headwind today. 1400 YPM race most are home

Yes they cannot navigate I would not send to a race after an electrical storm.

No, our course is East to West. I also do not fly old birds but help out at the club on shipping nights.

They sent the race with no issues, I don’t fly old birds but help out with shipping. It was a fast 250 mile race.

@@tariq3912 Who knows. It could be a combination of things. Maybe if it was cloudy and had the high k factor it would have been bad results. Perfect conditions for a race other than the k factor, it did get hot later in the day but the birds did good
