After an exciting morning of exploring the onboard activities, we headed to the Royal Esplanade, a vibrant shopping promenade that stretches across the ship. The stores offered everything from luxury goods to quirky souvenirs, and the bustling atmosphere made it a perfect place to stroll and enjoy the views.
Next, we made our way to North Star, one of the ship’s signature experiences. This futuristic observation pod ascends 300 feet above the ocean, offering breathtaking panoramic views of Singapore’s skyline and the vast ocean stretching in every direction. It was a surreal feeling, being so high up while cruising in the open sea.
For lunch, we indulged in a delicious buffet at the Windjammer Café, which featured an international selection of dishes. The freshly prepared sushi and a variety of hot and cold options were perfect for refueling after our morning adventures. The open-air seating area provided spectacular views of the ship’s wake as we sailed toward the horizon.
Later in the afternoon, we checked out the SeaPlex, a multi-purpose sports complex that transforms throughout the day. From roller skating to bumper cars, it’s an exciting place to unwind and have fun. We opted for a few rounds of bumper cars, laughing all the way as we bumped and collided with fellow passengers.
As the day wore on, we decided to unwind with a relaxing session at the Vitality Spa. The wellness center offered a range of treatments, and we chose the signature seaweed wrap. It was pure bliss to relax while listening to the calming sounds of the ocean just outside.
By early evening, the ship's atmosphere began to shift with the arrival of twilight. The vibrant Two70° Lounge came alive with its stunning floor-to-ceiling windows. We found a cozy spot and sipped on cocktails as we watched the sun slowly dip below the horizon, casting a warm glow over the water.
Dinner was at the Chops Grille, the ship’s upscale steakhouse. The tender filet mignon and mouth-watering lobster tail paired perfectly with a glass of fine wine. The ambiance was elegant, with soft lighting and impeccable service making for an unforgettable dining experience.
As the night fell, we headed to the Royal Theater for a spectacular performance. The show was a perfect blend of acrobatics, music, and stagecraft, showcasing the talents of the ship’s performers in a way that left us in awe.
To end the night, we strolled along the deck, letting the sea breeze cool us as we chatted about the day’s adventures. The Anthem of the Seas had truly lived up to its promise of offering an unforgettable journey, and we couldn’t wait to see what Day 2 would bring.
