Do you seal all the insect gaps around the doors and windows?

    • @trulogsiding2507

We havent had the need for it yet but if you want to seal those areas, you certainly can! The foam has kept bugs from getting behind the siding and nesting

Nice stuff. I’m sure with a metal roof, it’s almost fireproof from exterior fires. It’s in my list of cabin improvements!

Be aware, it will make it fire resistant, NOT fireproof. If the fire is hot, typical timber or brush fire, it can ignite the OSB under it like a match. You STILL need to make a firebreak to protect your cabin or home! (Too many times on wildfires.)

Thanks for the samples! After doing hundreds of conventional steel siding jobs I'd like to use your product on my house. Aviation snips are designed for thicker metals and on steel siding leave nasty cuts. I'm quite old school and need left handed av snips for left handed cuts. Using the traditional tin snips, Channel-Lok, I cut better and a lot faster with far less oil canning of the steel. I never level anything, I install straight with the house and in fact never have a level on the job.

No way you can measure from the top down to start your siding, on an old house there is no way the siding would be level, I would think having the siding level would be important!!!!
