I think it's called the book tote, because if you look at the shape of it, it is more like a book . and the meaning of tote is "to carry" so it's a "book to carry" which is the most precious thing to carry with you,; knowledge through books! And the idea of this bag goes back to the 17th century when people needed to carry precious things with them 😉love your videos , you have beautiful collection.

Lovely collection. I’m def getting the Bobby. I went to Dior boutique to try on saddle and SA put strap on the “C” too. I guess so strap could be at longest length and when you wear it crossbody shows C&D. But honestly you can put strap wherever you want😉
