As a real world Private Pilot, this is a great way for folks to learn all about VFR flight rules and flight plans (Im in USA)
Excellent video on navigation. Slainte, Mark ❤
I've been simming for 25 years now, I do it because I'm passionate about Aviation. I use it for fun and to help with my flight training, currently using it for my IFR rating. Flight Sim definitely helped me out a whole bunch in real world flying. Love it. Thank you for your videos and support in the community.
Good luck with your instrument rating 😊
@@SimHangerFS Thank you!
Very informative as always Mark. Keep up the good work.
And there is now 'Say intensions' and 'Beyond ATC' to add even more immersion. A great time to be siming
The current version of the sim is the first one that I have actually attempted to learn proper procedures (and fly airliners). Been flying virtually since subLOGIC Flight Simulator II on a Commodore 64 and always just flew around randomly. Of course the current sim makes GA flying amazing and most of my flying is still GA. I do use Navigraph/Simbrief for nearly all my flights though. Crazy how we have nearly every possible chart available to us for a minimal cost.
Brilliant I.just switched back to GA and forgot how satisfying it is especially in VR. This will be a great refresher many thanks
what a wonderful hobby, love it !!
Great stuff mark ... Very interesting and informative...looking forward to this series 😊👍
Your videos are far out the best for all Simaviators. Thank you for your work. Since 1982 with flightsim and since then also working in aviation since today.
Well done Mark. Love your videos and your teaching spirit. Keep up the great effort!
Awesome video and will be following the vfr series. Would be great with beyondatc when they implement vfr.
Very nice! Quick tip: if you click and drag on the route line you can drag it to whichever point you want. A bit quicker than having to select a point and defining before or after. This will also snap the line to nearby points of interests. This is very similar to how Skyvector does it.
I've always wanted to be a pilot and I usually fly the deHaviland Beaver with amphibias loats eh! Always enjoy your videos and info.Stay well Mark 👍
Love the Beaver with floats!
nice video Mark as a pilot in Canada since 1971 its sometimes nice to have reminders now and then. Looking forward to the next in the series.
Thanks for watching
Another great and informative video Mark
excellent video , very informative
Great video! Like many older flightsimmers, I can no longer afford the expense of real GA flying (or a very likely fail on my medical!) so flightsimming, especially in MSFS, is a very acceptable substitute. It's also great for keeping one's flying skills sharp, particularly navigation which Navigraph does well. I just hope that the recent AI programs for ATC comms become equally 'as good as it gets' as real world flying!
Totally agree. My sims became way more satisfying as an “accomplishment” once i applied all the GA PPL flight planning - fuel reqd, time of day, route planning, altitude, TOC/TOD, diversion airports, weather, etc. 👍 (I tend to use Foreflight.)
The first part of the video is recorded in mono. Stereo all the way please Mark!
Nice
Sub'd
Found this video very Informative thank you. oh simbreif and Navigraph is it possible to use the free editions for these applications ??
SimBrief is free to all. Navigraph is payware only.
@@SimHangerFS ahh right
The 10 dollars USD per month is well worth it
24:47 ....🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺👍😁😁😁
The problem I found with this method is that if you select a parking spot istead of spawning directly on the runway, it messes um the departure procedures... Never being able to fix that...
Hi Mark
Is there a way to load flight plans created in the Navigraph app to an Xbox?
Only via pc and then save to Xbox cloud storage
Mark, can you import .pln files from MSFS into Navigraph
Yes you can.
Sadly navigraph doesnt jace but a few GA stats in the data base. They really need to fix this.
Audio is left ear only fyi I think.
Yes, just the intro though. My error.
