Same. The animations for cards should just get sent back to the hand if the effect happens when the rope's at the end of the burn. Just "Too late! Your turn is over!" and toss half their combo back into their hand. Over-long combos are exactly how people used to take advantage of time, back when your opponent's turn time would start while the enemy's turn animations were still playing out.
I mean, the clock is part of the game. The commentators acted like this was some grave injustice; how many millions of games of chess have been decided that way, where the one side with a forced win makes mistakes due to time pressure or outright loses due to running out of time? It's part of the game. No one to blame but himself.
It's not about thinking, if he had enough practice with combo priest he would have known how to react sooner and not have to just dump his hand. Feno should have known not to think too long whether you go all in or not at that spot. Combo priest has a higher skill cap than most decks and he deserved the loss.

Guys it really sucks to have Thijs luck: you call the 2 things that can destroy you and both happens. Do not think at bad things...you just call them to happen.
to be fair, he generated the card with a lackey. there are over 120 minions that don't lose the game for him. one does. that's really not "fair", that's unlucky.
I mean it is easy for you to say that, but as Casie said after the game there is some lag connected with the accounts they play on for GM- I am not sure what exactly is the problem there, but he said that the plays were a second or so off meaning that Feno would have gotten the win playing on his own account. Unfortunately, the part when Casie almost roped the last turn deciding whether or not to concede there since it clearly wasn't Feno's fault didn't make it into the video (look closely at the timer above his portrait and you can see the time jump). He even said in the post-game interview that it was quite a hard decision for him to make, but with relegation (thus risking his GM income) on the line, he decided to take the win. Yes Feno could have gone faster and I would have on ladder, even at rank 1 going for legend, but you must understand how important is this turn for him. On 11 life he might very likely die if he misplays and taking this match loss could be the difference that makes him relegated from GM. It is a hard turn and he forgot to account for the lag, something that very rarely does anyone in any esport (especially in cases when playing on a tournament account of some sort).
Ondřej Bronec he wasnt fast enought, period. both players play with delay, he waited till the last second and he only has 1 cleric, it was obvious he couldnt overdraw, he had 2 draws per healing, and his minions had 17hp so imposible to die by pyromancer

Feno is not a rope player, and turn wasn't easy, also many pro players said that special accouts that blizz gave them for tournament, are bit bugge and animations tend to get slower.
Innersoulwithinme how it wasnt easy? he only has to heal the 2 minions that he was going to use to attack and silence the taunt, it was really easy because he didnt had to worry about killing his own things because pyromancer had 17 health, it was just casting things to get extra cards till lethal, he played really slow and bad and deserved that
