I feel like the joke I made at 5:24 was a bit distasteful. For the record, even if you are an immigrant in France, that doesn't mean that you don't belong there. You are welcome here! I hope that I didn't upset anyone too badly.
An exclave is a piece of territory that's completely separated from the main country, and is surrounded by other countries. Join me as I try to justify their existence beyond being a fun fact!

If most of Equatorial Guinea is an exclave due to their capital being on an island then that also means mainland Denmark is also an exclave.
Counterpoint: Copenhagen is connected directly to the mainland via roads. Equatorial Guinea has no roads connecting its halves.

Funny how you included Argentina when (technically) we do have exclaves in our territory. There is Martín García Island, completely surrounded by Uruguyan controlled waters in the Río de la Plata and also sharing our only land border with that country. The same thing happens with many islands in the border with Paraguay on the Paraná river, Apipé island being the largest of them. Great video!

I can explain why these things happen.
For example, it was normal, in my village, when someone is married to have, as a gift, a plot of land from bride's family.
Also, people used to buy plots of land all over. Some land is forrest, some is more marshy, some is on sunny side for wineyard, some if flat, some is more acidic and bad.
Now, sometimes your land ends over in other country, and you keep your land. And it happens on their side too. It becomes much simpler to make some land exclave and give access, than to enforce strict border control. That is how there is situation near Međurečje/Sastavci and along lover Drina at Bosnia/Serbia border.

Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan actually fought in 2022 in the Fergana valley, but it wasn’t full-scale war. Tajikistan managed to occupy some Kyrgyz villages on the way to their exclave, but all forces were driven out eventually.
Europe exclave you mentioned actually has road leading to Spain form before shengen times it was negotiated for purpose of providing this city with Spain connection.
