Hi Kailyn! You mentioned wanting some ideas for your entryway. What if instead of just having a large sign, you could have a large wooden lattice wall decor piece, then put a smaller sign layered on top of the wooden lattice with small greenery. I would paint your door black and maybe stain the bottom of your bench dark and just sand the white a little to make it look chippy. Your home is beautiful! Your videos give me so much inspo! 🤍🤍

I like the idea of adding a mirror to make the space look even bigger. Could be one hanging above the bench or a floor length leaning against the wall. Kirkland’s has so many pretty things this year! I love that picture with the front porch scene and the one with the bittersweet wreath and pumpkins on it. It’s a pretty good distance from me so I’ll probably just order when/if I can make up my mind. I really liked those wooden pumpkins with the leather tags on them too. I like the orange and also the navy. You’ve got me wanting chili now😀
I wish it was in the 70s here in South Carolina! We are still in the upper 90s low 100s! And with the hurricane it’s SOOO humid!! I just went through all my fall decor and am ready to start decorating. I’m trying to hold off until the end of month. 🍁♥️
I’m making white lightning chili today! It’s 109 degrees here in Arizona ugh lol but, I’m a California born and raised and at 75 years this coming Sunday I’m really missing California. I’ve only been here a year. Your home is gorgeous and I love the green sign. It could work all year. I’ve wanted a green one also. Love the pieces of copper. I would leave the sign color as is. It's a beautiful shade of green that is perfect now for the fall. Maybe place a nice fall swag or some eucalyptus on top of the frame when you hang it to disguise the blemish.

I’m going to try that chili recipe😛 I love the green sign as it is, but I know if you do decide to change it up that would be fun to see. I would drape some leaves over the top of the sign to hide the little scratch. I also think your door is pretty and blends well with your floors. The table may look better is you java stained the base. Again, I know any changes you make will look awesome❤️

What about painting the door black and also the bench? If you get a brighter light in there you might like the black. My favorite finds at Kirkland’s were the pumpkin orange pillow that says Fall Sweet Fall, and the enamel cider sign. I’m super excited for Fall, too, and can’t wait to see what you do! I’m decorating next week. My kids are back in school!!🍁🍁🍁

Oh girl... we have had weird early fall weather too. I am so not complaining because I'm ready for fall. I never feel like it was really summer because we could get pool passes and all our trips got canceled. I think the black front door would looks so nice.
I thought the front door was black at 1st, so that's my color suggestion. I would also paint the bench black or ½ of it at least. Add some colorful pillows and a throw. I'm sure that you'll be adding fall decor-pumpkins,etc. Change out the light fixture for one that sheds more light to brighten up the area. I like the sign left green. The chili looks yummy! Enjoyed shopping with you and haven't been able to go to Kirklands so enjoyed that. I would paint the front door light gray to keep all the surroundings the same in the entry and try a fall table runner on your bench and yes use a large picture with all the colors or a complimentary Fall color.
I’d paint the front door black. We did our’s Tricorn black by Sherwin Williams and love it! Have you thought about a buffet or some kind of table instead of the bench? Then you could do a large round mirror or oversized sign above? I agree, though, the bench needs something/to be changed. Can’t wait to see what you do!
So glad I had just had a bowl of homemade chili before watching! I have the PC gadget you used to break up the ground beef. Love mine. I love the sign and the color. Maybe fix the scratch but otherwise I would leave it as is. Great video!

Paint the bottom of the bench black, and paint the door a light gray. I love to walk through the corn fields, grab a Carmel apple and hot cider. I have not decorated for the fall, I am in the process of going through the buckets that I have to see what I want to keep and what is going to be donated. I am still enjoying the summer as we all know it has been a different year so I am not in a hurry to rush summer. Chili goes with the fall feel.
Unfortunately we don't have Kirklands in Washington State, but I got to go last Christmas while visiting my daughter in MN. I love Liz Marie's green sign as well so I found a similar one with the same October quote on Etsy. Looking forward to using it in my fall decor which I'll start putting up the first of September. Use some smartstrip on the bottom of that bench and wrap it with cling wrap as soon as you add some to each section. Let it sit for 30 minutes and then use a wire sponge pad and rinse it off. It will leave this beautiful unfinished wood look to it and remove that orange color it has. I’ve done that to several pieces in my home and I’ve just fallen in love with the look. Jolie has a great clear wax to seal the wood after that doesn’t mess with the color or texture look of the wood. You could do the same to the top of the bench but for the top use a wire brush to remove the paint. Then just lightly sand it with a fine grit sand paper and it will have such a great aged look. For the front door you can go with a wythe blue or chelsea grey. Pinterest has some beautiful front door photos with wythe blue and they look gorgeous!

Hey beautiful chilli looked delish and I've used chicken broth in mine taste great. Kirkland's definitely has some great stuff and have few items I've had my eye on as well. That cup was one and the sign I would leave it as is. I have the cooper jars from homegoods as well and great quality.

Hi Kailyn, love your videos. I have a pumpkin chili recipe if you would like it. Everyone loves it And it is delicious! For your entryway, I thought the green sign set as horizontal with maybe Harvest on it, or Autumn on it with some wheat tucked in on the top of it. . You said you loved that table runner at Kirklands. You could put that down on the entryway table and that would bring color to it! Add some neutral pumpkins or yet even those material pumpkins. I saw a UA-camr do a DIY sweater pumpkin and you could do it just as easily. Anyway you do a fabulous job decorating I'm looking forward to your fall haul and decor videos. I have done some fall prep DIY's but have not put anything out as yet. I am getting anxious to fall decorate and am doing my best to be patient. On your fall board and planning video, it showed a white pumpkin with a flower and some rust colored stem and I have done my own DIY very similar because I thought it was so pretty. I bought some very small copper pumpkins, and copper napkin rings for my tablescape. I also purchased some amber bottles from Hearth and Hand at Target. I am on the hunt for a green sign myself. I do not have a Kirklands near me, it closed many years ago :(. I apologize for the long post but just love your videos! Looking forward to your next video on Friday and then your fall decor video! I'm sure it will be beautiful!
Great video. I would leave the home sweet home sign the way it is. So pretty. If you want some fall color, I would add some sunflowers somewhere. Here and there or along the bottom. Just a thought. I love the green though.

I would paint the door black and for the bench do the legs black and the top do a grey washed look. I would also touch up the green and leave the home sweet home.
Last you I decorated for Fall Aug 1st. I tried to decorate yesterday, but my husband said no, since it's still 85°. I'm going to wait until the 20th or so.
I think if you add a blanket to the bench it would add something to the bench, also I would add maybe four fall pictures so it takes up some wall room with wall peel and remove hangers to hold them up but make sure they are sturdy, and maybe add like a fall runner rug to tie the space together. I love the door color .

Great video. I would leave the home sweet home sign the way it is. So pretty. If you want some fall color, I would add some sunflowers somewhere. Here and there or along the bottom. Just a thought. I love the green though.

I think you should paint the door white or off white to go with the top of the bench & to lighten up the area. And then paint the bottom of the the bench black. That would look so farmhouse.

I would paint the door black and for the bench do the legs black and the top do a grey washed look. I would also touch up the green and leave the home sweet home.
Last you I decorated for Fall Aug 1st. I tried to decorate yesterday, but my husband said no, since it's still 85°. I'm going to wait until the 20th or so.
I think if you add a blanket to the bench it would add something to the bench, also I would add maybe four fall pictures so it takes up some wall room with wall peel and remove hangers to hold them up but make sure they are sturdy, and maybe add like a fall runner rug to tie the space together. I love the door color .

or add some shelves there and then decorate them to go with it
Hang a bead garland across the top to cover the spot if it bothers you and call it a day! Gorgeous :)
