At 70+ yrs old, brought up gong to church every Sunday, I have learned more in the past few years from watching Dr. Charles Stanley than I learned in the decades of attending church. I still am in shock that I was 69 yrs old before I finally learned about the Holy Spirit, I had always just heard the name and had no idea what it was or what it did. I would love to be able to find a church to attend, but all the new churches sound more like a Night Club than a church. Thank you to In Touch Ministries for continuing sharing Dr. Stanley's sermons an Daily Devotionals so I can continue to learn God's Word.

Wonderfully uplifting and so, so true. How the right Pastor at exactly the right time turns our heads in ways we can never imagine. Helps us to see the World, Life and other People through a more forgiving Prism. Praise to you for posting this, Helen, you made my morning and day. Felt and feel the same exact way. Not just about Dr. Stanley but 3-4 other Pastors that have helped change me, change my heart.

I hear all those dishes clanking around knowing while this great man is speaking their eating when he deserves their full attention. I personally couldn't eat as I see it as disrespect to him. Everyone, including Dr. Stanley should've broken bread together, either before of after his speech. This man of God is greatly missed. Look forward to being his neighbor in Heaven.

OSAS- 3 verses in the Bible say your name can be blotted out of the book of life; Psalm 69:28, revelation 3:5, 22:19!
Never receiving Jesus is not the only way to go to hell Says Matthew 7:21-23 ; verse 23 ‘away from me I never knew you’ does not apply to everybody, Jesus says this twice in verses 21 and 22! “Not everyone will say to me (on that day)……., yes many will say…..” If OSAS was true he would’ve said “everyone and all” instead of “not everyone and Many”! So not everyone will go to hell based on never knowing Jesus, and other verses will back this up as well! you can no longer use Matthew 7:23 or say they were never saved to begin with!
Same with 2 Peter 2 “after knowing the Lord, they went back into their vomit as a dog or back into the mud as a pig wallowing in the mud”. The word ‘knowing’ is the same word in Matthew 7:23, it’s ‘ginosko’ in the Greek- it’s a salvific relationship with Jesus! So you can lose your salvation, says this verse as well!
2 Peter 2:20 “If they have escaped the corruption of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and are again entangled in it and are overcome, they are worse off at the end than they were at the beginning!”
THEY ARE ENTANGLED IN THE CORRUPTION OF THE WORLD…AGAIN- says this verse! Jude 12 - “twice dead”; Dead in sin, born again, dead again!
And there’s many more; Revelation chapters 2 & 3 are full of ultimatums and all Jesus is focused on is our works!
Revelation 2: 5 Consider how far you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first. If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place!
Revelation 2:14 there are some among you….. 16 Repent therefore! Otherwise, I will soon come to you and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.
These are just 2 and Jesus says “he who overcomes” , Overcomes is present - future tense, and Jesus says this to all 7 churches even the 2 good ones! You have to stay faithful to the end of your life to go to heaven!
John 3:16 is he who continues to believe will have eternal life! it doesn’t say ‘believed’ past tense, you have to maintain your faith to go to heaven!
The Greek word ‘believes’ is ‘Pistis’ which basically means faithfulness so faith equals faithfulness, according to the Bible!
So if you have problems with this, then you have problems with the word of God, the Bible!
You need to study these passages so that you can make it to heaven!
If your pastor cannot answer these questions according to what I just said, then you need to leave that church!

@@jjphank Philipians 1:6... "being confident in this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus." Jesus came into the world to save sinners. 1 Tim. 1:15 It is Jesus who is doing the SAVING, not we ourselves, because we could never save ourselves. Eph. 2:8-9
"...he (God) predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with His pleasure and will... Eph. 1:5 If God saves you, you are saved, if not then not, for God calls us to life everlasting, and He cannot fail. If someone has been born again, by the Spirit, (John 3) they cannot die, for the life of God is in them, even in this life. The scriptures you are quoting are used by God to bring about His purposes, but we can never fulfill them unless God enables us to. They are written to help in our sanctification, not for us to second guess our salvation, for that is not of faith. It is the washing of the Word in our lives. Faith is positive and not doubting, even though we are still in the works. Have the mind of determination, that if you recon yourself to be saved, then follow the Lord the best you can. When you fail, get up and keep walking. God knows His people before the beginning of time, so it is He 'who makes us to heaven'. People can know the scriptures, yet not be trusting in the power of God to save. If people are not sure of their salvation, they should go to God in prayer, confess their shortcomings to Him and ask God to work in their lives unto salvation and He will. 1st. John 1:9 If that is their heart, then be sure God is working in them and will bring it to completion.
People who take the Reformed view of scripture can put their fears of not being saved to rest, for they are trusting in God for their salvation, not in themselves, and that is saving faith. Maybe you should look into a church that rightly teaches Reformed Theology, and you will come to know God in a better way, and trust completely, that He is working in you unto salvation. Let God do the judging of His people, for how do you KNOW, what God is doing in the lives of people?? Romans 14:4 Just share the true Gospel with people, for that is what we are told to do and trust Jesus to do the SAVING, for he alone is able to save. Romans 1:16-17

    • @jjphank
      @jjphank Рік тому

God wants all men to be saved first Timothy 2:4, second peter 3:9!
God, predestines groups or plurals only, never individuals. Ephesians 1 -2 points: “ us and we” are pre-destined never “you and I“! And 11 times in 11 verses from 3-14 you have to remain “in Christ“ (in him, in whom) to be predestined!
Romans 9:1-3 Paul is talking about the nation of Israel, all the way to the end of chapter 11 ! So, “Jacob, I loved, Esau I hated“ is genesis 25:23 “there are two nations in your womb“
Of course, we have the story of Jacob and Esau and how Esau despised his birthright !
So God truly does love all people, he truly did make hell for the devil and his angels just as Matthew 25:41 says !
Even the 42 youths, mauled by the 2 bears, was because they mocked Elijah‘s rapture, a.k.a. the resurrection , they were saying “go on up Baldy “ ; and ALL their prophets just recently Were killed by Elijah and they should’ve known to stop worshiping Baal! Bethel was the headquarters of Baal worship, where this took place!
So God never arbitrarily and haphazardly deals with any human being ! His love cannot be measured says Romans 8!
But if you’re a Calvinists it’s “his love cannot be measured , (Wink, wink)“!
Come out of the false belief system of Calvinism ! Now you have no excuse because you cannot out argue this, let’s hear you try!
Read Matthew 25 the parable of the Calvinists, a.k.a. talents ! Where the guy buried his talent calling God,- somebody who doesn’t judge rightly & he was thrown into hell as a result! He had the wrong view of God, & So Will a Calvinist, they’ll have a callous view of God!

I would really love to meet Dr. Stanley... this man has opened my spiritual eyes to so many things!!! My pastor introduced me to him, and my pastor was too a great preacher and man of God with integrity.. He passed away earlier this year, one of the most devastating things for me but at the same time one of the hugest eye openers in my life... I have finally aligned myself with God and my relationship is growing more than it ever has. I thank God first, and also my Dr. Pastor Richard L. Daniels & Dr. Pastor Charles F. Stanley for opening my eyes to the gospel and what it really means to live a sanctified life! In tears even typing this... tears of JOY. God is beyond great & I’m so thankful that He’s kept me long enough here on earth to get it right 🙌🏾❤️

Charles Stanley is a true man of God. I learn a lot from his teachings.. the only thing I don't like about this particular video is the forks and knives being shuffled around as people are eating and listening to him... I find this to be very disrespectful and I don't care if it's a lunch conference or whatever... when a man speaks about the Lord, I would think that people would put down their forks and just LISTEN.

    • @wendy___777
      @wendy___777 5 років тому +1

Jeannine, I understand what you mean. However, I imagine that Dr. Stanley understood what environment he would be speaking. It appeared that talking about the Lord and his experiences were more important to him than to be bothered by forks and knives clinging. As far as God? He is slow to anger and rich in love. God overlooks a lot of things we do that do not honor Him. God gave us the gift of the fruit of the Spirit to handle more difficult, disrespectful, and ungodly environments. Dr. Stanley spoke about more difficult circumstances in his life that God got Him through than a luncheon where people at food. Satan would want followers of Christ to focus on the little distractions at a luncheon than the Word of God. If you listened Dr. Stanley even respected the fact that “you’ve had lunch and you don’t need another long sermon”. Such a loving and understanding man.

You need to read the Bible, because Charles Stanley’s theology was not purely biblical!

Charles F. Stanley had such a wonderful way of preaching! He always spoke in common everyday language that is still easy for me to understand. We are very Blessed that his preaching and "Life Principles" will continue to be available through various media source. Oh, how I look forward to the day when I can finally meet Dr. Stanley in person, after God calls me home from this temporary life here on earth.

Read your Bible, you don’t know the Bible that well !
Same with 2 Peter 2 “after knowing the Lord, they went back into their vomit as a dog; or back into the mud as a pig wallowing in the mud”.

@@berniepokorski6608 11 verses there, so overlook the ‘rant’ and get your Bible out and look up those verses!
2 Timothy 2:15 “study to show yourself approved by God, a workman who need not be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth!”
There there, be a good little Berean !
