The Highest Amount ever Won that I can remember in the Chase Franchise was in the Brooke Burns version of the show from the Game Show Network was (Heather, Cory and Jonathan) taking home $180,000 ($60,000 Each between Heather, Cory and Jonathan) with a Set Target of 18 for the Beast (Mark Labbett) to Catch. But he fell just short of reaching the Step Target answered 16 / 18 Questions Correct getting Pushed Back 3 Times.
The Chase is definitely a hit on ITV as well as a hit on GSN here in America! If there will be a version in Australia, it would most likely be on Seven Network and if there will be a version in New Zealand, it would most likely be on TV One, both of which are because of the deals that ITV Studios has with each company.
This has been my favourite final chase of all time because of a split second moment... Giving the team 60k. In case anyone complains that he answered in time, look at this clock. I know, it's close, but by the smallest of margins, it hit zero, I can't lie lads. Best final chase ever...
+al'sproductions it's not a win if it hits zero after he started to say his answer. Classic gameshow rules. But in this situation it is a big win, of course :)
This final chase was legendary. Good on Andy for going for the big amount. 🎉
At the time it was tied for one of the largest prize wins.

Not anymore. Biggest amount is now over $600,000 from the '21 reboot.

You did predict right, but NZ channel it currently broadcasts is TV 3 ;) I live in NZ, it's a fact.

Andy made the game by going high and getting back as well
You're right. I often have to replay these moments just to make sure and yes he was JUST out of time.
I think Mark started his answer before time was up and he should have caught them.

babyflufflepuff The timer on screen showed 0:00 before he started saying it. Watching in slow motion proves it.
+babyflufflepuff he said new yor and the clock hit zero
The way I saw it, the clock read 0, he started saying New York, and then the sound went off mid-answer.
Did you know that Mark's second name is the French name for beast
His is spelt Labbett but the French for beast is (la) bete. Pronounced the same though his name is Anglo Saxon.
Times Up!!! £60,000!!
