Those pigs reminded me of my youth. We had a bin of wheat that was spoiled from rain. We would soak the wheat in the old metal milk cans and sprout it for the use of the pigs. They loved it and did great . I have also fed them on excess milk. Some farmers in the 60's had a deal with a cheese factory near me and took all the excess whey to feed their pigs. That was before they used so much whey in food today.
Wow bro glad to see you back....all that hard work you put into your own cows are paying off....loook lol at all those babies you know there my favorite.....you going to get more bottle neck calfs in???? I bet you are,,, cuz there is nobody better than you out thers doing thanks for sharing...
another awesome video ,man your farm has sure expanded, lots of babies ,and they are cute. The pigs are so big, hope you had a good summer and stayed healthy, love you man keep safe Hugs.
I wonder who made thumb down..... Farm & Hammer videos doesn't qualify to get a thumb down. Farm & Hammer shows us the reality and background of farming. Next year I wanna raise 30head of bottle calves.....I'm ready to start coz it will be my first herd.
We don’t ear tag calves anymore. The only animals we eat tag are confirmed bred heifers entering the herd. For us there isn’t much of a need to do so, it just stresses the cows out and the tags get cut out after the sale barn anyway. Just a personal preference thing for us 👍
easier to find and maintain books security and peace of mind go along way might change your mind also if go to a blk bull you want to tag them to know whos who lol all at once
They have almost increased the staff by about 50% but Covid has orders going through the roof and we can’t seem to keep up. As much as it sucks, the business has been trying to reward us for our efforts.
Walking over the electric fence...👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 10+

Hi from Naples, Fl

Can't wait 4 them baldys next spring they will be top sellers if ya feed them up to 7 weights
Those pigs are growing nice.... hope you enjoyed your vacation, Love seeing all those babies.. when are you planning to butcher them?
I’m hoping to butcher the first two at 200-250lbs. It might take them a while to get there but I’d hate to butcher them any smaller.
The flies are insane on the cows.
What did you do on vacation? With friends, family? Pics?
Where do you find the creep panel
Love the video btw what’s your name
What part of the world do you live? Where is your farm?
LOVE the babys
Do you edit your own videos?
Nice!
Not sure if you know, but the vid ended mid sentence. Great video btw
mid-bull small talk...lol
With keeping back those 2 bulls she does that mean for the rest of your herd? Or are you going to have them breed different cows on your farm?
Yes, they will breed a different unrelated group of cows on another patch of land.
@@FarmandHammer understood. How many cows and heifers do you have now?
Your heifers are slow my little heifers and steers beat me to feeder every time and the goat leads the pack
Soo...calves ear tagged?

Why doesn't work hire more staff so you can have a life
They have almost increased the staff by about 50% but Covid has orders going through the roof and we can’t seem to keep up. As much as it sucks, the business has been trying to reward us for our efforts.
