    Can the headphones connect to any audio source? That is, if I want to listen to music through the plug in, does it work?

    Im honestly on the fence between this and the SRU helmet. My loadout is CQB and kit is meant to have the vibes of a SWAT/Vigilante. Idk which one would you recommend for that appearance? Because from what I’m seeing, this helmet and the SRU are functionally identical

      @@jondbaptist3694 in the end I decided against it. I’ve seen many reviews and even my local airsoft store that didn’t recommend this because of either poor quality or because of how heavy it was. They even had one for decoration they let me try on, and it was like wearing weights on your head. It would definitely get uncomfortable after a while of running

    I like the helmet, don't get me wrong but i'd prefer the SRU SR Tactical Helmet. It's affordable and extremely durable.

      Did you get the SRU?

      @@jondbaptist3694 Yeah I did, I got their newest version the P3. I like the P1, but it puts a lot of strain on your neck because of how heavy it is. The P2 and P3 are lighter, however it doesn't come with a helmet. You'll have to buy that separately. There are promo codes you could use to reduce the purchasing price. Just an FYI, if you are considering purchasing the SRU, you'll need to buy one of those battery bricks for USB cables and fasten it somewhere on your person. There are USB cables in the helmet that are used for powering the fans.
      A massive downside though is that you can't ADS with the helmet on. You'll need to get a sight riser (30mm) in order to actually try to.
      All in all, the SRU helmet series is pretty badass, and you can buy separate-colored visors to fit your theme/style.
      P1-My first helmet, really solid/badass design, but very bulky and heavy. It does come with a helmet, so that's a plus.
      P2-More slender-shaped and resembles a skull-design. Looks cooler, but it's basically just a facemask that you attach to a helmet.
      P3-My most recent one, gives me an ODST feeling. The lens covers the entire face, so waaaay more visibility. Sometimes my breath clouds the lens, so it's important to always have the fans running. It's also like a facemask, but the design reaches a little around the helmet as well.
      I tend to ramble a lot, but if you have any further questions just let me know!

      @@user-yd8lg5ph4w thanks for the quick, detailed response. The usb connection is the only thing i haven't seen anyone do in a review video of this helmet. Was just curious how complicated that was when playing? The only reason I'm interested in the helmet in this video is because the 3-AA batteries looks simpler to deal with

    • @user-yd8lg5ph4w

      @@jondbaptist3694 So for the USB cables on the SRU helmet, they are super, super long. There are two, and you can adjust them to whatever length you want if you know how to make cables shorter by tying them into a loop. Don't tie them too tightly otherwise it can restrict head movement because the wires will pull your head when turning if it's too tight. On the P1 helmet, the wires protrude from the back while on the P3 helmet, the wires protrude from the sides. Although the batteries in this helmet do seem more convenient because no wires are involved, keep in mind that they may die while playing (batteries don't last long after all). If you don't want the wires to run down your vest, you could always get a battery brick strap for your helmet, that way it rests on top, and you wouldn't have to worry about the wire problem (it only works for the P2-P3 models though). I like using a battery brick too because they last forever. I charged mine last year, and right now it's at 65% charge. If you don't like the fans and wires, you could always detach them (the wires are attached to the fans, which are attach to the side-rails of the helmet). Hope this helps

    • @user-yd8lg5ph4w
      @user-yd8lg5ph4w 3 місяці тому

      @@jondbaptist3694 I know some people with the SRU p2-p3 helmets that use a battery strap which wraps around the helmet, that way the usb cables are easier to mess with because they stay on the helmet instead of dangling down. Others that I know just loop the wires through their vests so then they don't just dangle there.
      TL;DR
      They aren't really a problem if you mess with them a bit.

I hooked everything up and the walkies react but there is no sound what so ever in the helmet and i cant communicate out either. my buddy just got one as well that just came in today and the same thing happens soim figuring its the ptt? so i guess my question is what ptt are you using to make it work?

      @@naptamisprime just bought one new half price so over moon-or will be when i sus out the internal speakers etc lol,amazingly liittle via google saying exactly wot need...mic presumably plugs into side with one hole on.but if thats true am very confused what side with 2 holes on needs,as only noticably smaller than 3.5mm and the other one is even smaller so am very confused,darent even consider buying a ptt cable let alone a radio till i know lol

    • @naptamisprime
      @naptamisprime 28 днів тому

      @FFAx the one on the right side of the helmet is for the mic and has a small screw space next to it to secure it. The hole on your left is your 3.5 to 7.1 nato just be sure to use a civilian version ptt..the u94 is a common and cheap one as well as a good one to use. We are gearing up for an event in Dec so I may use a dual ptt to communicate with another squad I know of now that I know how this thing works but so far so good on my end once i got it figured out

    • @epicablaze
      @epicablaze  Рік тому

      I have an svd with a 9x scope, and I cannot ads so I use my pilot mask instead (www.evike.com/products/15560/). Now that said, I do not have a riser so it may work if you do. The thing is, to ADS you need free access from your cheeks, and the front face section prevents that (without a riser). However if you take off the front face section, put in a mesh mask and a pair of small goggles/glasses, you can ADS.

    • @williampresley214

      I saw on a video all you need is a 1" riser for your optic to work

    • @epicablaze
      @epicablaze  Рік тому +1

      It all depends on what you are going for. This is honestly a great showpiece, but its also practical which is a bonus. It does work great though if you just remove the front section, and use it as a normal bump helmet with the added benefit of fans and a headset.
