right off the bat that ja henckels 7-Day is gorgeous!! okay got to finish watching the video now ... amazing video super jealous of just the razors you're showing today nevermind what's in your drawers 😢 .. anyway love your content thank you so much for sharing I hope you have a great week bro !
Cheers bud, I was quite torn with selling the Henckels but I've got strict rules with my 7 day set finds. It's gone to a good home now, great razors! I've had a bit of a Christmas rest, set a few from the 1000# drawer & getting back at it next week.. First Christmas I haven't brought a razor for myself from my grans Xmas money, but it's not like I'm lacking any, lol.. I have seen some small Jnats that are drawing my eyes to.. Happy new year fella may we have many more great shaves... 👍
It was a corker for sure, shaved great also to one I got shave ready. Was a nice find, now to get some of my other 7 day sets restored a bit more. Happy new year 🎉
@@RobertPascale I'm 100% bias but I believe they are one of the best ever made especially in their grind profile and weight. If you happen to find one I'd snap it up. Got very lucky with this one could of gone either way but I saved it and now have my MK pairing I desired. Have a lovely new year chap.. 👍
@ I’ve already started looking!😅 when guys in the community give their opinions, I definitely listen! Thanks for sharing Brother and have a great new year!!
Hi. If you have polo green time to pair it with stirling green 🙂 nice razors. It's nice to get a hold of a good razor for not way too much money. Hope you get better soon
I did in the end and it pair great with the polo green, my bottles from the 90's so from my reading it's a bit more potent than the one they do now. Had a very Ralph shave with it a couple of days ago with my Henckels 17 with the custom scales I did.. Always a super shaver and a joy to use, Stirling soaps just always perform great once you nail how thirsty they are. 👍
Hello,i have a question for you.I've seen your videos and you ve tried a lot of razors from different countries. My question is that im looking at japanese razors(hayashi, kyoei, kikuokan, tosho etc.) but they are very expensive and for that price here in Europe i can buy two Swedish or German razors. What do you think?
Hello, thanks for watching some of my videos it's much appreciated the more they are watched and subbed the more gents I can possibly reach. I'm a really big fan of Swedish steel and some of my best razors are Japanese as well. But I'm firm believer that any razor from a good vintage manufacturer that can take a good edge will shave great so if your new to straights just make sure it's shave ready that's the most important thing. The harder steel (mostly Swedish and japan) from the makers from yester year can be a bit more tricky to hone but once set can last a bit longer but Solingen and Sheffield makers imported lots of Swedish ore so some of their razor were tough to hone also.. So to answer your Q I'd say get what you can afford make sure it's shave ready and get shaving you can always spend out more when you've delved deeper into the different makers and types of steel.. I've aways got lots of razors waiting to be honed. Hit me up from my about page on here and I can always see what I've got or you can find my on eBay as well. Same name as on here. Any future questions or queries chap just ask I'll always try and help. 👍
@@Sustainashave This is hands down the best answer i ever got on UA-cam.I really appreciate that you took the time to answer this so fast and thoroughly.I have a Henckels,a Wacker and an Erik Anton Berg.I was looking at some japanese razors but with import taxes it would cost about 420 euros each.So i think i'll have to wait.Im going to follow your ebay.I wish you the best.
@@JJHills-ho3br your very well set I'd say then. Yeah they can go for silly money, I got my favourite Japanese razor from a lot of about 8 razors I stumbled on for around £50 so there are deals to be had with your eyes peeled. Cheers bud if you see one on there hit me up mentioning yourself and I'll do a small discount. Thanks for stopping by 👍
