There is a drain valve on the bottom of the primary fuel filter. If you drain it doesn’t make near the mess and it makes it easier to remove the filter.
How much fuel did you have in your tank when you did this? My primer didn’t work when I did this job. I had I little less than half a tank. Luckily when I started the engine it filled with fuel, but it made me a little nervous for sure. I heard having a full tank when you do this helps with that.

Yes my fuel tank was full. I always park it full to help lessen any condensation in the tank. I am sure pre-filling the filters helped too.

What was the monitor you installed into the port and it displayed all your vitals to an IPad? Are you still happy with it?
