You can add motion tile and put for example 400 width and 400 height before sharpen to get rid of them(white borders)

one question: does the grain/noise of the sharpen goes away once you render it? Cause I don't see that in your videos and on after effects shows like a lot with 120 Sharpen so I'm scared to render with that much...
adding a lot of sharpen to scenes with lower quality than 4k or sometimes even 1080p, - sharpens the pixels so much, that they appear grainy. unless you export/render your video without super high quality settings (rendering compresses your video), it will decrease the grain. - compression gets rid of a lot of pixels (quality)
- if you're using scenes that aren't in the best available quality with my settings (almost lossless) - your video will look exactly the same after rendering as it did in after effects

js using the inhouse glow effect thats under stylize works very well, pretty customizable and looks good
You need the s_glow plugin

Thank u so much for this only I don't understand it 100% cause it says, for example, 'brightness & contrast 2' but u can't see the settings and then under that it says 'brightness & contrast 3' which does show the settings? How does that work? and it also says 'sharpen 2' and 'unsharp mask 3' but like why? i don't really understand that

heyy, one question... when you export your videos and render them from after effects and they are already in the mov format and they are not bigger than 2 gb do you still render them or convert them to mp4 in media encoder? or you let it like that?

anete, in this case I have to use the media encoder settings only if the edit is larger than 2gb, right? if it's smaller I can just render in apple prores 4444 for example, and post on tiktok, right? Or is the media encoder mandatory?
I have an edit lower than 2GB, but I chose to use media encoder with it using the creator's settings anyway. I exported it only once with AVI as its file type, uploaded it on Mega, downloaded it to my phone, uploaded the TikTok video using my phone, and it worked fine.
TikTok didn't reduce the quality of my edit which I was so happy about 'cause I didn't expect the quality to stay the same as I exported it; It turned out so good!! (thanks to the creator who made this tutorial).

hey! so i really need help with the encoder settings. i cant change the performance to software encoding, its like unavailable. and it doesnt matter if im on vbr 1 or vbr 2 it's unavailable for both of them. i really need help with this! do you know how to fix this so i can use software encoding?

hi to those reading this! may i ask for your specs recommendations in terms of the device needed to run AE smoothly? cheap ones would do best, as long as AE will run! my specs in my current laptop are: Processor = Intel(R) Pentium(R) CPU N4200 @ 1.10GHz, RAM = 4GB, GPU = Intel(R) HD Graphics. After Effects won’t move at all after importing clips in this laptop sadly, which is why i’m considering upgrading it but i’m not really educated in specs
i have 4gb ram and my after effects lags and crashes every time i edit. as far as i know i think you might need your ram size to go higher like 16gb:))
16 gb is recommended to run smoothly, tho 8gb is atleast needed.
i have 8gb and it still crashes sometimes
my pc is 10 years old and has only 4gb RAM too so it won't run higher versions of AE than CC 15 (is the version I use), I recommend you to pick CS6, CC 14 or CC 15 and test them all to see what works better in your notebook, using older versions of AE has its cons (you can't use most of giveaway presets for example coz most of the editors make them in higher versions so the presetss don't work in older versions), but is a good alternative if you don't have a pc with THAT good performance
I can run AE without major problems but it will never be as smooth as people who have 8gb or 12 gb pcs. other alternative is to buy more RAM, this will help a lot to you computer to get better, I'm about to buy mine by the end of the year
I have a dell, 4gb ram 2.50ghz and intel core i5 2something can’t remember the other numbers 😂 it’s doesn’t run fast but it’s not bad either, I can import clips, adjust and once I’ve got the length of the vid down, eg 15sec (haven’t tried higher than that) it runs pretty smooth after playing the video in preview 1/2 times

anete, how do I know if my video is bigger than 2gb? in the folder in which I save when I put for example the mouse on top, is size 306MB, so I do not need to do the setting to decrease because it is smaller, right?

Anytime when I post my edit on TikTok it posts as HEVC instead of H.264 even though it’s rendered as H.264
2:54 do you have to pick the one with the most mb/gb?
whenever i post an edit to tiktok it reduces to 720p, any idea why? The only reason i think is that its because i use 1080x1440 instead of 1080x1920 which is tiktok's recommended quality

hey, so i watched ur "high quality tutorial" but i dont get why u rendered it 3 times. And which one am i supposed to use out of the 3. I can't see which one looks better because windows player doesn't support QuickTime Preview
get 123 video player, and no you don't need to render 3 times, i showed my top 3 render settings that for me maintain the best quality after posting

soooooo, basically what it happens is that, at the time i post the edit it looks with such a really good quality ON PRIVATE, but then when i try posting it publicly it decreases the quality so damn much

i don't really like using media encoder bc its very hard to keep lossless settings without it crashing and taking hours. you don't have to export 3 times i just do that because i always want the best possible quality without any compression

hi, for some reason i followed all the steps but this tut doesnt work for me but it works for everyone else. i use 4k scene packs and follow all the steps of your quality tut and whenever i first post it makes the thumbnail blurry and the quality bad, how do i fix this, or is it just a tiktok glitch when i first post?

anete, I didn't quite understand the 2gb size part. do i always have to export 3 times? and choose the biggest up to 2gb or the smallest? I always exported in quicktime Apple ProRes 4444 and that's it. do you follow all these steps? export 3 times and go to the media encoder too?
i only use media encoder if those 3 settings all came out bigger than 2GB

Hi Anete, I know that I’m late but I hope you can help me with something n Media Encoder.
It’s like, I already send my video from after effects to media and then I have the link where says comp1 or the name of the protect but when I want to click on the part where I can adjust the setting it just don’t let me, it says something about a dynamic link and that the protect is charging, (sometimes it puts all the line in blue and it say something about connecting to the protect and sometimes says that this is going to take some minutes but I wait for hours and it doesn’t work, I hope you can help me
i'm worried that if you are using a free version that isn't correctly installed or that doesn't match your after effects version so for example after effects 2020 needs media encoder 2020 etc, another problem could be the amount of layers and the lack of precomposing, or adding bcc to the footage instead of adjustment layers, also warp effect has a lot of errors, motion tile h/w should not go over like 420 or 400, you can always send your project file and i can try to see whats up
