I'll be honest, I LOVED Stardust and how over the top he was. I also felt that Cody was being under utilized as both Cody Rhodes and Stardust by WWE. Stardust helped to breath new life into Goldust as well when he debuted. But admittedly, WWE creative are a bunch of talentless morons working for a guy who, as CM Punk said "Is a millionaire who should be a billionaire".

Stardust was the best gimmick he ever had in WWE, the theme was dope as hell, a nice mix of Goldust's theme but also different. He should have had the IC belt a few more times in that gimmick, but instead they jobbed him to Titus when Titus should have jobbed to him.
It’s ironic that people hate the stardust gimmick and think of it as an example of wwe’s horrible creative dept..... stardust was actually Cody’s idea. He likes astrology and superheroes so he combined those two things with a tribute to his brother, Goldust, and this gimmick was the result.
It was actually someone higher up who suggested “he dress up like his brother” the way it’s implied. It sounds like it was Stephanie. Cody had all these cool ideas for the gimmick. But it got water down by the time we saw it.
