@@DataBroth Polygon. I wonder if i could recreate this sound on it. SpaceCraft Patch Demo - Midi Ascension ua-cam.com/video/cntm2YA6rMs/v-deo.html This but in Polygon.
neither one is better than the other, and neither one is "best" either as I prefer a couple other granular options over the two. Polygon2 has more grain functionality, where you are able to use more grains per sample for a cloudier texture, polygon also has oscillators and can fm the grains which sounds awesome. Palindrome has much better modulation, while it has less channels of modulation you can draw custom shapes easier in palindrome, you get 8 custom vector modulations + the mixer vector. Polygon's shape sequencer is not very deep or easy to use. to break it down, polygon2 has a deeper grain engine with more sound design controls where palindrome has deeper motion control personally palindrome inspires me more and is much more fun to use, but polygon2 is arguably a better granular synth. if I didn't have other options I'd probably use polygon more hope that clears things up, if you don't have anything else I'd say get polygon
@@DataBroth Thanks for the detailed answer! I'm interested in both plugins, but I'm more tempted to buy Polygon 2. Of the granular plugins, I have a THE MANGLE, which I really like, but the developer abandoned it, which is not very good. It works well, though. And I have the first version of the Polygon, but the second, it seems to me, is much better.
@@tylervue6357 I prefer rapid and pigments for granular, there are other options out there, and I haven't tried everything, but I think pigments grain engine is one of the deepest out there
Ivanov makes such awesome plugins, I wish he would get some help to make the UI more intuitive and user friendly.
I think he likes the UI like this
I really like glitch machines plugins, I don't use them enough, but they sure are fun
Really fun and inspiring software
Cool experimentation :)
Awesome instrument. Cheers
It's possible to make nice ambient pads like in Tracktion Spacecraft?
I'm not sure, I haven't used spacecraft, I'd imagine so
@@DataBroth I want to know if we can use the vst to make pads without glitches, all the presets that i've see till now have some gliches in it.
@@Santi-pm9hq which vst? polygon or spacecraft?

Polygon 2 or PALINDROME - which one is better? In your opinion.
More precisely, not which one is the best, but which one did you like best?

They really need an optional smoothing (x-fade) algorithm toggle to toggle for elimination of clicks.
As soon as I saw this comment I was like “wow, how could they have missed putting that in even in version 1?”
