Great job mate mate. No corners cut and everything done right. Hats of to you re gel coating a boat and getting that finish is a lot of hard work. Impressive mate well done
Great eye for detail, a lot of work but well worth it and better than new. I had a V163C for 15 years or so which punched well above its weight but I'm told those 17's were the best of them so good choice and nice to see one have another lease on life.
Great rebuild video. For me, it validates the path I took to achieve a similar goal. My project was a 19 Ft Pelin Nomad Aquarius new build. 200 hours, plans for the build, a few sheets of marine ply, screws, primer, paint, and a sheet of Acrylic.
Well done mate 👍 looks perfect 👌 Good way for people to see what a 500hrs plus rebuild takes. You should be very proud of your efforts and it is awesome knowing the hull is rebuilt the way you like. 👍👍👍👍
Thanks mate yeh 500 hours is probably cutting it a bit short but yeh I’m happy how it came up it’s my first rebuild so definitely learned a few things along the way
@@adventuresofvikilu1028 Yeah, I’m sure if you kept a log on hours it would be scary. I’m doing a full rebuild on a little Haines seawasp at the moment with thermo and vinylester, that will probably end up at 400hrs 😂. It’s ok, it’s for me. Well done again on your efforts mate, looks awesome 👍
Epic build mate. You did one hell of a restoration. Guys like you are the reason I keep my Haines knowing that one day the rebuild will be worth it. Would love to see this on the water, bet it flies with the new 150 merc!
awesome mate this gives me motivation to get my skimmer craft finished, i live in kippa ring..so where did you buy your gear? Coosa board, resin and matting etc etc? you got a new subby
This is awesome! I read it was your first rebuild, how did you know what to do? I have an old Savage Escort and I wouldn't even know where to start. Thanks
@@adventuresofvikilu1028 nice mate... Knowing boat builders would be nice. I have a weird pod style type transom on mine not a straight one so I'm already up against it.
I've more respect for those that restore than those that buy new.
Best diy rebuild video I’ve seen! Inspired me to take on my seafarer Vsea thanks!!
Vsea are great boats too
Some top quality glass work, most refurbs are hard to watch when it comes to glassing but this was so impressive. Shes better than new now! Well done
Best diy build I’ve seen!!!
That thing will be bulletproof! Well done!

Great job champ
When they dig it up in 5000 years from now, the transom will be the only sign left that it was a boat.
Fuck mate this is unreal good job looks so sick
awesome mate this gives me motivation to get my skimmer craft finished, i live in kippa ring..so where did you buy your gear? Coosa board, resin and matting etc etc?
you got a new subby
I got it all through Moreton bay marine services at Clontarf
Mitch was awesome to deal with
@@adventuresofvikilu1028 cheers for that yeah i know of Mitch top fella,,,btw keep up the vids mate
How long did it take you to restore this projects. Thank you for the great video
Budget 3 years minimum .
If I ever do this shorts is out of the window haha. I feel like I'll be itching for a straight year working on a boat.
Nice
Epic job man🤙🏽🤙🏽 is that paint or gel coat that you were spraying
Cheers mate it was gelcoat
This is awesome! I read it was your first rebuild, how did you know what to do? I have an old Savage Escort and I wouldn't even know where to start.
Thanks
I done a lot of research before hand
Also spoke to some boat builders for advice and I’m a chippy by trade so it was a good help.

Awesome build!!! Did you use polyester for the stringers and trandom or epoxy? Big debate.. trying to decide what route i will take...
Yeh everything polyester
@@adventuresofvikilu1028 right on! Basic Boatyard or vinyl ester?
Epoxy or poly mate?
Polyester
Thanks mate best rebuild and filming ever, did you gel coat the whole thing?
@@klinno8719 yeh all gelcoat outside and flowcoat inside
Your a machine, love your work
Is it for sale? 😂
My throat it’s dry and sore.
