Happy weekend Steevee. Here's something new again. Was enjoying it at the beginning, then it got a bit shouty and screechy.. Don't know if all of their stuff is like this, gonna check it out ...have a good one my friend ❤️✌️👍
Remember reading their name and live reviews in the NME/MM back then, never got round to checking out their music. Just watched this, and fuck me, they're bloody good
@@ScottishTeeVee Ahh, I see the connection now, so many changes of band members, you can’t keep track! In the 80s, a guy I knew bumped into Mark E Smith in the street, and ended up being in The Fall, which was his favourite band, imagine that, getting to join your favourite band 😂
I think I saw these guys opening for Smashing Pumpkins at Maxwell's in Hoboken NJ around this time...or maybe they opened for the Lemonheads.. god, I don't remember the '90's anymore.
It's been 30 years! Time is crazy! Saw Gallon drunk opening for PJ Harvey at Club Soda in Montréal, in '93? Or was it '94? Anyway they were great and I still have their all their albums!
Onya, Stevie! Had almost forgotten them, Birthday Party Sun Sessions, perhaps? Not a million miles removed, this - ua-cam.com/video/U6g-UzQFNCw/v-deo.html
OMG The Wreckery, I have not listened to them in decades. I have a few videos and a concert by them on VHS, must dig them out. Thanks for the reminder Kev.

My friend and bandmate used to rave about these guys during the nineties. I must admit, they’re rather cool.

Glad you enjoyed this Verity
They were an intense live band, saw them a small handful of times in 1991 and 92!!
Great, great band. Saw them many times in London, drummer Max Décharnés band The Flaming Stars were excellent as well.
Thanks for watching and commenting
The greatest live band of the nineties. James was a demon
I was into the rave scene by this time, so I missed these! Sounds good, a bit like The Birthday Party
By chance, the singer went on to join Nick Cave and the bad seeds.

But yes, the birthday party is being invoked here
one of the small handful of gigs i’ve seen which were so mind-altering that i walked away asking myself what the f… just happened - truly brilliant
