I have been on the fence to try this. I too before the new punch came out specifically sharper for those of us wanting to create custom covers jammed my HP full punch and it's no joke how hard it was to unjam. I do have the new punch and my laminator from my custom resin image years so i just need to brave cutting those straight lines. 😂 Loved your paper choices ❤
@@ItsLaurenE You should give it a try 😊. it’s a fun project and there’s so many options for covers with the paper pads. I have the older Happy Planner punch and that one definitely won’t punch through. Glad to hear the newer ones are a bit sharper and could work.
Wow! Absolutely stunning covers and dividers! I will definitely be trying this myself! Thank you so much for this video..I’ll definitely be watching this multiple times for all your handy DIY tips! God bless❤️
Thanks so much! I got the lamination sheets from Amazon and they are 5mil. I forgot to post the link but here it is. Great job, Cecila! You're so creative. Where did you buy your laminator? I've been looking to get a new one and I noticed that your laminator has additional heat settings above 5 mil.
@@wendieayala2725 thank you Wendie! This laminator is made by Royal Sovereign IL-1346W and was sold on Amazon. It’s an older one so not sure this model is still available. The newer models only seem to laminate up to 5 mil.
Great video. I always thought of doing that but never get around to do it. That scrapbook papers are so pretty. Loving the end result. Great job. What happened to the laminator?
Thanks Gigi! You should try it. I made a few others years ago but hadn’t made any in a while so trying to get back at it. I think the laminator has something on the roller and that’s why it was smoking lol 😂.
@@CreativelyGracious that smoke scared me a little lol yeah I will definitely try it one of these days. All the scrapbook papers I have. @@cindycarmichael9768 thank you Cindy! I like to change out my covers each month so I’m using it as my regular planner but have a divider for extra Thanksgiving stuff!
@@yvettecancel3772 thanks Yvette! For the lamination, I run it through the laminator once than I add another pouch and run it through again. I do say to try at your own risk because I’m not sure if all laminators can handle it.
Yes it could be costly when buying. A few tips though; you can find a decently priced laminator at Walmart and they usually laminate up to 5 mil. And as for the punch, you can check Michael’s and wait for them to have a 40% off sale. That’s how I got mine. Also, if you plan to make more than one it can be worth it.
@@missunderstoodtrapqueen2875 I had trouble deciding on discs. I was thinking about the blush pink metal discs but went with the orange pumpkin cutout discs. My setup video will be coming out in next few days.
Could you adhere the two papers together and then cut them to the size you want? That way you don’t have to line the paper up! I will probably just buy paper with a picture on both sides
Love it 🤩 You made it simple, I'll give it a try 😃👍🏼🙏🏼🌷
Yay! Glad you liked it and are going to try it out.

I have thought many times about creating my own but I would need to buy a laminator and a punch and they don’t come cheap.

I think I would use double sided papers, but thanks for sharing the process.
That would be ideal but unfortunately not all paper pads are double sided.
What color discs did you use?

Yes, that is definitely an option too. I like to cut the paper prior to adhering to save on my tape runner 😁.
