This is my idea of the PERFECT drag car. Lightweight short wheelbase Maverick, lightweight late model GM LSx engine, and most importantly the TURBO! We are a lot alike. At one time I owned the Maverick that my best friend and I used to ride to school in. It was a 1972 Maverick Sprint and I would SO love to have that car back in my driveway!
Love those Mavs!!! My first car was a 1969 Ford Maverick. 69 is year built and year it was actually registered was 70. The difference between a 69 and 70 was the ignition switch not on steering column and being mounted below. Loved that car. I drove the heck out of the straight six while I built a hippo 289, it ran low 12’s in a 1/4 mile at LACR in Lancaster. They closed that strip. For what I had spent on it every one thought it was fast...this was in 89-95 till a lady rear ended me as she was adding powder to her face..I was so pissed. After that I bought another and also slapped all the parts from my first. I owned three in my life, I also had a 66 Hertz fast back Mustang, and a 65 coupe. But the Mavericks are the ones that kicked ass in the street and strips. I even drove them to the tracks never towed them. Good memories...
@@gilwilliams9036 I knew there would be one...There's always one...Ok, Cummins are the diesels that come in Dodge trucks. Hence, Mopar "stuff". I realize Cummins is a seperate entity, the company I work for owns part of Cummins, so I know it's not produced by Mopar, or Chrysler. But when you think of Cummins, you think of Dodge trucks. There are probably even more things in Chrysler products that aren't actually produced by Chrysler. Get it now? It's very odd that I had to explain that to you...
Man don’t you guys get tired of replacing ls motors ?? I know there cheap and everywhere but I’m sure by the 3rd 4th Motor you could have built one to last!!??
Hey Levi. I don't know how hard your leaning on it making your passes ..But I can tell you with 100% certainty if it's north of like 15 or 20 LBS the Bearing's rod's and stock piston's will hate you . Sure you'll get a few dozen passes but at the top end of the track one night your going to see more smoke then you like and then you'll make the necessary upgrades so you can utilize a few more pounds of boost safely reliably without the worry ...
VERY SAMRT MAN! OWNS 2 FORDS an neither got Ford power😂😂. Probably smartest thing he will ever do. The turbo Cummins in the F250 is and was 1 badass idea! that things prob a monster now with that OL turbo on there.. That's not something you see often. Cool as hell. I like that.. But now that lil Ol Mavric looks good! Well as good as a Ford can 😂 na... That thing is bad ass.. And im deff not a ford guy. But that's one those car that I just like those body style/year model Mavric.. But Hey if its at the track and it's not a foxbody than I give mad props lol! Them cars work but damn wish peopled wanna be different. 85% of our local track is nothing but fox Bodies. Gets kind old lol. But there cheap to make work. I'm glad its a LS. It could very easily b a mid to high 4 sec car. Wit ease too!!! It would pick up a second first trip to the track same turbo an all less boost! You got something there just gonna take some motor making HP too that way you ain't push out head gaskets
EXCUSE ME, I'M MORE INTERESTED IN THAT MAVRICK, THE MAVRICK SOUNDS WICKED BAD ASS!!! LOVE THAT MAV MAN, SHE'S A BEAST
Anyone who likes Mavericks is OK in my book 😁 I can't wait to own another one.

Great looking and running car definitely a different set up , nice truck too ! 👍
Thanks for the video 💯
Check out my maverick build. 7.3 Godzilla t56 8.8 with disc brakes
That’s what a good trans converter and rear gear combo will do, went down the track real nice

My god no one gives a shit
I've got a 69 with a 302 in it and a 74 drilled for a big block, I love them both but the 69 just has a different feeling about it, it's kinda unique
Love the Maverick , bad choice for an engine, keep Ford a Ford.
Love it car and truck both look good and maverick riding good job bro
Man that guy is doing things right!!
😮😲😍🤩💖👍‼️
Excellent choice on the cummins swap ... I got a Cummins going in my 01 F250 right now.
My brother years ago had a 73 Ford maverick with a 302 engine and a three speed Hurst transmission. That little bugga had pep in its step. Yessuh. ✌🏾💯
Hurst never made a transmission but I believe it was fast bro, and Chevy powered
@@pascalolesen5187 . I stand corrected. Hurst made shifters not transmissions.
The maverick runs good no doubt. Surprised to not see a SBF or SBE coyote 👀✌🏽
It's hard to overlook a chevy 4.8 or 5.3 if you're on a budget.
@@dallastoodessa166 I agree and I’m on the Ford side of the house
Get a Chevy body if you want a Chevy motor budget .
Something different. 👍👍👍👍
Keep doing this and you gon have your own bro
Levi is a skilled mechanic/racer. it appears that Mav runs ~5.30.
@jmalcom2004 can u make a video like this on that white ford 78 dent side ?
He didn't say what trans and converter in the maverick. Did he tell you J?
JoshW817 he actually didn’t and I didn’t think to ask. I have his number so I could find out for you
That's a nice build junk yard jewel
Built Ford tough, with Mopar stuff...Sweet Cummins swap!
Guy probably went through 3 or 4 6.4s before he said F this truck. Then this kids goin the Cummins under his work bench. Cinderella story
Cummins is not Mopar

Chuck Grace then couldn’t you call it built ford tuff with Volvo stuff? There are more Cummins in Volvo’s than dodges IJS .
this engine came from a ford f800 truck!
Bull terrier visual
Thats the best than that ever happen to a 6.4 ford truck! Swap out the crappy 6.4motor!! Good job bruh. Damn mav get down too!.
I wish my 75 Maverick was like that mine barely has 300 horsepower.
What do you have done the engine?
I’ve had a 72 grabber with fac ac ps since 13 my first car I’m 38 .. is that a 72
Traffic, traffic lookin' fo my chapstick, feelin' kinda car sick, there's a Ford Maverick.
Stock means just that oem . not stock stroke and bore with aftermarket parts. Stock GM LS more like it.
Is that an ls?
Sounds like one......
Shit that things fast
what app do you use to edit videos?
Good video
Man idk why people play with cars this fast without a 10pt. My car runs 10s and has a 10pt.
Whats levi # info for work??
Alabama kid I asked him before I started shooting if he wanted free advertisement and he actually only does it for himself

Ls. Lmao... ruined a food car.
Love the video's but need to change the intro, Like what Urban Hillbilly used to have a bunch of hype cars with wheelies and burnouts.
That seat looked like it'd seen a few things.
We can go get them tomorrow morning and then I come over tomorrow and I’ll let you guys out there
Happy birthday

Better off with a Barra, Ls's are overdone.
LS are for losers
