I am usually a rock and metal guy as well but when you find an artist that is real and makes you feel what they are expressing you have to take notice. I found out about Lisa through watching anine with my kids. Everytime I heard a song that had impact it was always her. She writes these songs from the protagonist's point of view but you can tell her life experiences go in to them as well. She feels and means every note as you said. This song breaks me every time. I think I can make it through but just knowing what is going on inside of her I just can't. Haha. If you haven't checked out her First Take of Gurenge you should do yourself a favor. Absolutely amazing!!

Sometimes you just hear someone sing and "wow" can be your only reaction, just like you did, absolutely incredible performance
The song “Homura” won the 62nd Japanese Record Award in 2020. She wrote it herself and in her long carrier this was the first time she was “awarded” for her efforts. I didnt think it was possible, but her performance of this song live at the award show might be even better. She is an a amazing singer with j-rock/pop roots

LiSA is fantastic. FYI this was the 2020 song of the year winner in Japan.
Her range, both vocally and musically, is great with some great rock songs through to pop and ballads. She's also very popular being able to sell out arenas and play at Budokon several times.
I'd suggest checking out her First Take of "Gurenge" (the theme for the Demon Slayer series) followed by the live version so you can see the difference or any live version of "L Miranic" for something on the rock side of things.
She hooked back up with MAH from SiM to release a much heavier than normal song “Viva la Midala”

Hearing how emotional she got at the end, and how she talked about overcoming many things, makes me remember the article saying she was booed off stage and how she was ready to retire by that point. I don't know what convinced her to keep singing, but I'm so glad she did! She's absolutely incredible and the people who hurt her by booing should be ashamed!

THIS is how you react to something! Listen, carefully and respectfully. Don´t spend 50 percent of the video explaning in what way she is singing, and then spend the rest telling them how I relates to you. Kudos to you for pure music appreciation. And you get your opinion across anyway, with just a word here and there. Really nice.
I liked the way you remained silent during the music, hearing with all attetion and not talking over it, even in the final when she started to speak you stopped what you were talking and listened to her, tremendly respect for you!

Even though she makes her own/different music, most of her followers will have got to know LiSA through her anime themes.
@@phaeron Fun fact, LiSA is a lot less known in Japan then you might think. Mainly because lot of her songs are famous because of Anime. Anime isn't as mainstream as people might think.
Btw, by less known I mean to regular people with full time jobs and not much free time. I've been in Japan 4 times, 2 of which were for LiSA live tour alone. I've met quite few people who never heard of her. But she is getting more popular every year so it might be different story by now.

Damn dude, everytime I listen to this song tears well up in my eyes just from the first few key presses. LiSA is extraordinary even among amazing singers. She absolutely kills these first takes without flaws and infact improves on the original studio fabricated version. Bless those at First Take for bringing her on (and others of course) because without that we wouldnt know just how talented she was!
