Is your muffle furnace connected to an Inert Atmosphere source and a condenser system? I tried pyrolyzing the biomass put inside a graphite crucible. Intense smoke was produced. What do you suggest
Muffle furnaces are operated usually without being connected to any inert atmosphere. Though we say we pyrolyze in muffle furnace but actually we don't. What we do is actually called calcination, where we have no control on the atmosphere or, on the presence of oxygen. If you want to pyrolyze your biomass in absence of oxygen, you can create that inert atmosphere in a tube furnace. We also do that in many cases where we need the inert atmosphere. That furnace uses Nitrogen gas to stay in an inert condition. So, my suggestion is to try a tube furnace instead.
Good day! I would like to ask if we can do a 600 degree constant temperature for these kinds of furnaces without putting extra programs? We will be using NaberTherm Chamber Kiln
Unfortunately no. First you need to make the temperature raise to 600 degree from your room temperature. Then you need to hold the temperature constantly for the time period you need, at 600 degree celcius. So, apparently you must run an extra session. But if you don’t want to ramp again when the temperature falls down, then you can avoid running an extra session to take down the temperature from 600 degree to again at your room temperature. In that case, the furnace will automatically cut the circuit off and naturally will be cooled down to your room temperature after a few hours.
Nice demonstration. Keep it up❤
Thank you vai! Keep me in your prayers!❤
Thank you soo much... The operation is complex but Your video helped
Great demonstration Seam.
can be used to melt precious metals like gold, silver, PMGs ??
Yes, it can be used. It can reach upto 3000 degree celcius.
You saved ME!!!
Thank you🥰
