i really enjoyed this networking episode! i've always been so resistant to networking because it felt fake and icky and i never felt good walking out of a networking event. but like you mentioned in this episode, it really comes down to shifting my mindset and understanding that networking is part of the game of life and if i can't participate, i am putting myself at a disadvantage so it's imperative that i learn to approach networking from a different perspective. especially now that i'm making a career transition in my 30s, i'm going to need to do everything i can to put myself out there. im loving the real talks on this podcast, keep it up Sarah! 💚
This podcast could not have come at a better time! I've been looking for opportunities in my degree since I graduated this summer but I never really got into networking for the same reasons. I'm a first generation student, immigrant household, and eldest daughter that doesn't ask for help, so when I realized networking was such an important skill to practice it was a little too late 😅. I'm on the hunt now to network as much as possible but I had no idea how and I did have this fear I might come off as taking advantage. I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one that thinks of it like that. If any psychology majors would like to reach and connect with me please feel free to leave your social media handle! I'd love to bond over one of my favorite podcasts and maybe hear how your journey is going. Thank you Sara ❤, much love from Texas!

Networking definitely doesn’t feel wholesome so thank you for helping me reframe it! 💖💖
love how you broke these different types of networking down into categories and defined them. thanks for the great and informative video!
