It works perfectly! Just choose a good texture and in PNG format. I have tried with JPG and doesn't works for me. Dont forget to resample the glass texture or you would get a nice tile design. Tnx for the apport. ¡Funciona perfectamente! Simplemente elija una buena textura y en formato PNG. Lo he intentado con JPG y no funciona para mí. No te olvides de volver a muestrear la textura del vidrio o obtendrías un bonito diseño de mosaico. Tnx para el informe.

je n'ai pas compris comment votre mur devient transparent si vous pouvez m'expliquer i didn"t unederstand how your wall become transparent berfore make it an object , can nous plizzz explane me thank you
Nice.. you just have to select a transparent img .. if the obj that has been exported doesn't become transparent.. then change it with a transparent glass image. (Y)
i did all what you said in video but no transparent of wall, also i did the steps recommended by other but also no transparent appeared, maybe you have special version of software.. please explain to us ...
Right click on the 3D view, and select “Create photo”. In the create photo window, make sure the best quality is selected. Check mark “Add ceiling lights”, set the time of the night you wan. I have a video on how to create “Night photo with lights” ua-cam.com/video/BBUSi9p2vsY/v-deo.html
I followed all the steps and used the same texture as you did in the video as well as used the same dimensions you used for the glass but I couldn't get a glass wall. What should I do?
I've got the solution of my problem finally. I made a wall and colored it blue, then increased transparency of walls as desired in 3 dimension render. I finally exported the wall in obj format and changed the transparency back to opaque and imported the wall I exported to get the desired transparent wall.

Your house picture is a 2 Dimensional object. You can use this picture as a texture or to replace a framed wall painting. But you can not transfer a 2D picture into 3D. To see your house in Sweet Home 3D, you have to create it from the beginning, ie: walls, windows, doors, roof, etc. If you have a blueprint of your house, you can use it as a template to help you create walls in proportion to your house using Sweet Home 3D.
1) select the wall 2) click on 3d view 3) click on modify 3d view 4) there opens a window with something you can make the wall invisible or transparant
Good. I was seeing again this video and now, I have learned to create an obj object. Thank you.

Hi there I'm so confused with this bcoz i'm a noob. can I use my House picture as a template to put on the design I like . I mean the actual photo?
Your house picture is a 2 Dimensional object. You can use this picture as a texture or to replace a framed wall painting. But you can not transfer a 2D picture into 3D. i followed all the steps precisely still couldnt get the wall transparent
Make sure the glass texture is transparent, and that you apply it to both inside and outside of the wall. I hope this helps.
how did you create that roof?
+Mizé Williams I download the roof model from Sweet Home 3d website

You can just use an in game option to make it transparant!!!!
1) select the wall
2) click on 3d view
3) click on modify 3d view
4) there opens a window with something you can make the wall invisible or transparant
