I don't go anymore I can't help feeling that it's a sin to kill these beautiful fish. When the smaller fish are around I will pop for them and release them but killing these big fish gives me no pleasure only a sadness
Some people make a living by selling these fish. I hear you but just a little adjustment in your thought process, have you seen these tuna boats on a commercial scale where there are 20/30 rods being used, the water chumed to the hilt and tuna flying over the rail into a huge tray. Now that is what I term raping the sea. These guys do it for sport and self employment..there is a huge difference. We are all entitled to an opinion and I for one am a catch and release angler, I do however take the odd one for the table and feed my family
@@brucealmighty6442 I just reached a point where hurting the birds when they eat the bait and killing these majestic trans oceanic fish just ruined the fun for me so I go once a year or so to catch smaller fish on poppers with single hooks and release them. I don't judge I live in a glass house I just can't participate like I used to I have destroyed enough don't have the stomach for it anymore
@@rationalthinker9181I hear you sir. As ai reiterate I myself are a huge supporter of catch and release, there are unfortunately many that fail to see the impact of their ways. The control of catches is some what been LOST in the current regime 🙏

Awesome video. How far offshore are you? I see there are alot of boats around it seems like a popular spot.
Depends on how far the current line is. Sometimes it's as close as s few miles off the point but most times the warmer water is 20 to 30 miles.
