Thx! I didn't know how to finish the stitch with the other color so I'm really glad to have learned that plus learning how to make this project! You are a great teacher!! 😁💕
Thank You! i have been wanting so badly to make this design in a blanket but avoided it because other tutorials I have watched made it seem more like an expert level thing. Two minutes in and I found myself saying "Ahhh okay, so simple".
While that is pretty … it frightens me to think about the time it would take to do a blanket😱. But I would consider this with cotton and dish rags!! Thank you!
Sorry but as a Scot I have to say this....this is not Plaid. It is a Gingham if anything. Also, due to the title I must inform you that Gingham and Plaid are two very different things! Gingham is what you would often see on a table cloth. Plaid is a series of 90 degree squares and lines of varying colors on a different colored background that make a distinct repeating pattern (there are many types of plaid). Tartan is a plaid pattern that is specifically associated with a clan. You have great tutorials and beautiful work, just wanted to add some insight.
Yeah, I know - I had a Scottish friend who was very particular about his family's specific Tartan. The crochet community for decades (going back to a famous 1920s pattern) called this particular design "plaid" - right or wrong - so I kind of have to go along with it when people search for how to do it. If you notice, my title actually says "Plaid Technique" - as opposed to "Plaid" - so I that sort of, at least I think, lets me off the hook.
Sure is easy enough. Who'd have thought? Now if we can only find a little Elf to weave in all those color-change tails HUH? That's the bane of my crochet existence. :) Thanks for this video.

While that is pretty … it frightens me to think about the time it would take to do a blanket😱. But I would consider this with cotton and dish rags!! Thank you!
You can always do double crochet stitches instead of single crochet. Goes much faster then :)
If you were to use double crochet would you have to alter anything else in the pattern? Would you still only chain one at the end of each row?
@@hannahthomson2923 chain 2
@@hannahthomson2923you would have to chain 3 instead and skip a hole to start your new line
Very beautiful!!
