A brief set of conjoined clips from Transformers G1 Season 3: "The Quintesson Journal" focusing on the Quintesson attempts to reclaim an incriminating journal detailing their past nefarious arms deals revealing evidence of their involvement in stoking various conflicts around the galaxy, while two warring worlds are brought to the negotiating table. This was subtly one of the deeper themed episodes in the series since it went into the general idea of covert arms sales and weapons of mass destruction. Also touches on the entrenched bitterness that sets in during endless wars and the challenges of 3rd party mediation while additional parties seek to disrupt talks. Ironically, the Autobots, who attempt to bring both sides together were also embroiled in their own centuries long war with the Decepticons, as well as their mutual struggle against the Quintessons. The episode itself built on a rather peculiar approach by that particular team of writers who were among several brought in for Season 3 Episodes. Given that it was a cartoon intended for kids it wasn't ironic that it drove home the old school parental warnings about the dangers and consequences of escalating revenge.
