You can issue a refund from the Square app, quickly and easily.
To issue a refund from the Square app, tap “Transactions”. Search the transaction history to locate the original payment. Tap “Issue Refund.” Tap "Select All Items" to refund the entire sale, select the specific items you’d like to refund, or tap "Amount" to refund a specific dollar amount. For Custom Amount transactions, you’ll have the option to refund any dollar amount up to the total amount of the sale.
You can also restock returned items to keep your inventory levels up-to-date. To learn more, visit square.com/help and search keyword “Point of Sale.”
If you issue an itemized refund, the refund amount will reflect any applicable taxes (e.g. Sales Tax) and discounts for the selected item(s).

At Square, we're so much more than the little white card reader. We're helping businesses of all sizes start, run, and grow every day.
Whether it's the food truck that's establishing a brick & mortar restaurant, the former sole proprietor adding her first employees, or the entrepreneur expanding from one location to ten, as our sellers scale, so do our solutions. We all grow together.
Too bad there's no transaction tab on a laptop. I love this app based world and lazy companies with broken platforms that make it annoying to perform simple tasks.
Wow, so easy even i could do it.
